Damn you, Nintendo!

Looks like it's been designed to match the Rev controller.  Be interested to see how much brighter the screens are supposed to be, considering how nice the 'old' DS screens are.

Must.  Resist.

It looks nice, but is it really THAT different from the original DS? I mean, it's great to buy if you don't have a DS yet, but if you already have one, there aren't any real advantages. But this is my opinion. I of course don't doubt that the unit will sell very well, as it does look a lot nicer and more appealing.

What I'm wondering is if it's still backwards compatible with GBA games.

Ive been harboring suspicions about this for a long time but looking at the wafer-thinness of that thing confirms my theory that we now live in THE FUTURE. Thats right people! Its official, we now live in the world of tommorow... today!
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I'm glad they're doing this. DS is my favorite system, but it is too cumbersome for action games over long periods of time. This is exactly why I bought mine at Costco, if you know what I mean.

Still waiting for my repairs...

<_<
>_>

I hate it when any company adds the word "Lite" to anything.

Well...so far it's only coming to Japan, so maybe it won't matter?

I doubt they would make it exclusive to Japan though. I'm sure it'll be in North America soon enough.

At least you now have a game system to match your iPod!  ;D

Hell, I got a DS a couple of months ago and I'm still getting one of these babys.
Even if I have to import one from Lik Sang I'm still getting one.

I'm seriously considering having my paycheck paid directly into the bank account of Mr Nintendo, just so he can keep sending me all these wonderful toys.

What's weird is the customer/company relationship Nintendo have created.
Anyone else pulls this crap and I'm complaining all the way to the bank, but with Nintendo I just roll over and let them do it to me again and again.

Looks neat, and shares a similar style to the Revolution, if I'm not mistaken. However, I'm not giving up my chunky DS. We've been through too much together.

I think I might get this, if it's cheaper than the regular DS. I have been thinking about getting one. *Waits for the people to quote me saying PSP is better than DS*

But I want a DS now.

I'm with you on that one. Just got it for Christmas this year. Won't be buying it, at least not for a long time. Some people hate the look of the current DS but I think it looks pretty sleek and cool.

Nintendo just announced that the new DS Lite would have a North American and European launch "following Spring".
