Windows Vista
« on: January 24, 2006, 10:01:49 pm »
I'm just wondering who here is interested in Windows Vista or is not interested in Vista.  I am considering getting a computer pre-installed with Vista when its released later this year.  I like the new features such as mini takbar view, seamless integration between anything many different peripherals, and Games folder.  The new Windows Media Player 11 with URGE seems like it will be an excellent place to download music.  If I don't buy a Vista computer I am hoping to build my own and install Vista onto it.  Just post your thoughts on Windows Vista.

Depends on the cost through resellers on if I'll get it or not.  Probably not for awhile, at atleast until some of the bugs are worked out.

When we get a new computer, it'll probably be pre-loaded with Vista. I think I might be able to get my dad to get a new one next year, let's hope for that.

The price is what matters to me.

I won't upgrade unless I must or if the price is right.

Not right away, but whenever I get a new computer, I''ll probably get it with it.

It's supposed to support Flight Simulator X (Which I cant wait for!) so thats one reason.

I'll get it for free off my brother, who as a computer engineer gets all these things for free.  Woohoo!  Not immediately though - i'll wait until they iron out all the problems which are bound to be there.

Now why would they iron out the problems that they put into the program in the first place!?

System Requirements:
1 gig of RAM
GeForce 6800
Pentium 4 4.0 GhZ

All I want is an OS, not a show.

I predict Vista will be a tremendous disaster. Impractical and bug-ridden. It's only logical. Whent they finally made a good OS(XP) They'll have to replace everything with crap. It's the Windows way.
