That's cool and makes sense.

Aggressive Victory = axe totem pole guy
Social Victory = horn totem pole guy

I wonder if you can gift them to friendship? Or is that in the Civ Stage with buying a rival city?

I do remember hearing that you can win tribes over by gifting. I wonder what that totem piece looks like? Any other tribal pictures lying about?

Not that I can find. I was just going through IGN's Spore pics out of boredom.

Just curious, does anyone remember the asymmetrical Noog with the spines as a hand? Way back as a picture a few years ago? He "proved" asymmetry?

That totem pole thing makes sense, and I'm glad it's in there - it'd suggest there's going to be tonnes of other little things like this, which'll make it all the richer an experience.

Because I like it so much: Feral Bicycle

Quote
Use caution while riding feral bicycles. Always wear a helmet, use lights while riding at night, and carry a tranquilizer gun.
-that was the description given when the thing was on sporepedia before it was deleted (I had left a window up that had sporepedia when that thing was still up) And for kicks and giggles here is the creature itself in this image.

This thing reminds me of the killer bicycle in Calvin and Hobbes.

Well there you go. That bit might just be the back of the Spore box.

Blurbs: Nothing new to us, but it'll hook some people in as they're browsing about.

Images: The bright techicolors might scare some players off who are looking for a grittier feel. Hopefully they realise you can get grittiness through the editors.

System Requirements: Nothing new, though we do need the Internet to activate the game. Nothing new, as the CC did the same thing.

Rating: E+10. God, my sister's Spongebob game is rated E+10. I don't even remember the last time I played an E+10 game outside of the educational ones from when I was a kid...

As far as the rating goes, I guess they are emphasizing that people of all ages can play spore if they wanted to.

The learning curve might be kind of steep for a 10 year old though.
