Hahaha. That's the magic of the Web you're talking about: everyone, everywhere, all the time. =D

And to bring this back on-topic, have you been to http://www.tigsource.com/home/ lately? Lots of downloadable games and mostly for the PC.

cheers!

> I added (jayisgames.com), but it loads very slowly for me. But maybe that is just me *shrug*

Sorry if this is off topic, but I've never received that complaint before. I do include a lot of images on the main page, and it's a hefty 940KB. For anyone on anything other than broadband connection, the download times for a first-time download of a page that size are indeed a bit high.

I can reduce the number of entries I post on the main page to make it a bit better for first time visitors. Thanks for the feedback. ;)

And thanks, Mike, for the mention. =)

And Steve, I've been enjoying all the great Spore coverage. Keep up the great work with the site!

Wow, You're Jay. I bookmarked your site a while ago...You really find a lot of good online games. I wondered if you had an account on here. You were also following spore in your blog if i remember.

Oh and in specific refrence to this topic, what about adding the flashtrek games Wahh just recently posted in the spore section? http://www.vexxiang.com/

What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

It looks like it does.  I was very impressed by the ragdoll-ish stuff when the hoppy guy rolled off the tripod's head.  For some reason I've never seen a game actually do collisions well with skeletal-animation character that aren't rag dolls.  um, I'm not sure I really made sense there... The fact that it correctly rolled off of the actual shape of the player character is what I meant.  Usually I see game physics treat animating characters as a larger primitive (cyllinder usually) for collision-response purposes.  Or maybe I just haven't been paying attention enough in new games.

I agree with Borogove, it does.

Also, OP has been updated with great suggestions.

Also Also, Borogove, do you get the word Mimsy from the poem Jabberwocky? Jabberwocky, for the win!

Oh, I just remembered the line "and all the mimsy borogoves." It's where you get your name from as well.

Eek! I brought my own thread off topic!

Keep suggesting the great games, guys!

All mimsy were the borogoves,

Glorious nonsense!

For more free games to check out, try the Independent Games Festival submissions: http://igf.com/, I'm trying some of the Half-Life 2 mods at the moment...but so far they are multiplayer ones and noone seems to be on...

Thanks n10sity, added it.

Also, Martham112 submitted this little gem to me. It is a free "creature creator" that is pretty good, if a little less pretty than the ones I've seen floating around. It is easy to use, just look at what I created in very little time

It doesn't function well when walking, mind you, but it looks pretty good for only 30 minutes work put into it. I am sure others can do better.

The program is called BAMZOOKi, and is in the creature editor in the spore experience section.
