Scale - Compare Our Creatures Sizes
« on: January 13, 2006, 04:39:38 am »

Ok This is how tall my Naucean and Areku's Quillaran in compared with a human. Plz copy this picture by right clicking then go and paste your creature in over on the right of the Quillaran. Then the next person add your creature to the picture until we have a great pig line up of everyone's creature in comparason with size. Also don't forget to put the creatures name under the picture you drew.

Good luck to those of you who already have a creature.

Oh also the human is about 6 feet tall.

Please ONLY Sentient creatures

My editing skills are pretty bad so I don't want to mess it up. Anyway, here is a pic of my Sqw'wq'ii race in the Planet Spore story on PlanetSpore: http://img223.imageshack.us/my.php?image=skwiskwiupdate1233yu.jpg full credit to my friend The Arbiter.

They are 5 feet long, with the main body bieng 4 feet long and the torso beyond the first walking leg adds another foot. thier vertical hieght is probably a little over two feet, maybe 2 1/2 feet. Although if someone else better at math can calculate the height better, then go ahead.

thanks for putting it in VFX, my picture editing skills are bad and I didn't want to mess up the whole thing. and the scale looks about right (although some individuals can grow at least a foot taller, but thats just the usual variation one might find in a species)

pretty cute with the puppy in there, although I think the puppy is a little out of scale as its at least two or three times bigger than if it was to scale.

Creatures can't be any larger than an elephant, right? At least, that's what I thought was the size maximum for your creature in-game.

yea generally (although some people say african elephant, some say asian elephant, they are pretty close in size anyway, but I think an african bull elephant would better show the max size). the Quillaran would be around the height of an average elephant, although an African bull elephant would probably grow at least a foot or two taller.

It certainly wieghs less than an elephant of course.

Blech! evil lovecraftian abomination. Could someone draw a Cryoeltan (from the Yet another spore-ish BBS forum games topic) Theyre about the size of one of those novelty giant beachballs you get on nudist beaches... maybe a little smaller than that.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

but yea they are kinda about beach ball size.

and who are you calling a lovecraftian abomination? I've heard of lovecraft but never read the series or books or whatever.
