My favourite episode is "Why Must I be A Crustecean in Love?"

Im a big fan of the VERY last episode, where Fry writes an Opera (The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings,  i think)

Yes, I am aware of the irony.

i love both family guy and futurama.  I am hoping for a new season of futurama, although some of the later episodes were not that funny than the first seasons, i believe that they have had a long enough break to see what they can come up with. I enjoyed when the went to the different planets and that was when it was funnier.  I wish that they could introduce more characters and more aliens as well.  I still wish that Leela didn't find her parents and that she is a mutant, i liked the thought of her being some alien.  Fry and Leelas getting closer is ok, but i would like it if Fry were to date more girls and such, but i guess beggars can't be choosers.  I would also like to see them going to other places on Earth, like have an Australian episode similar to the Simpsons episode, or going to China or Japan or Africa..etc..
Under construction

the third season was probably the funniest in my mind and also had the all time greatest line;

"You should have fired at where the ship was going instead of where it had been."

I will agree to the last episode being great I don't know what people are talking about with the later episodes not being as good as some of the earlier ones i think the later ones are gold.

The earlier episodes were all esentially parodies of sci-fi conventions (the ones that are conventional... not the ones with costumes and autographs) with a little pop-culture thrown in. The later ones were more of a distorting mirror held up to the america of today with some personal relationship stuff thrown in.

It boils down to:

Early Episodes: They went on delivery missions to alien planets, there was some action, they went home.

Late episodes: Fry/Bender/Leela met some random person/attended some random event, visited a place which is very similar to a place on modern day Earth, then didnt go home because they already were home.

Of course, some episodes dont follow this pattern: Hell is other robots, Godfellas, the one where theyre on Mars, the one where they have to get the worms out of fry's bowels etc
