Do you know where you will spend eternity?
« on: August 25, 2017, 11:18:03 am »
STEP 1 – GOD’S PURPOSE: PEACE & LIFE
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and abundant, eternal life

The Bible says …
“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” —Romans 5:1b (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish

but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16 (NKJV)

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” —John 10:10 (NKJV)

Why don’t most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

STEP 2 – THE PROBLEM: OUR SEPARATION
God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says …
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23 (NKJV)

Our Attempts to Reach God
People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God …

The Bible says …
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
—Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he

will not hear.” —Isaiah 59:2 (NJKV)

No bridge reaches God … except one.

STEP 3 – GOD’S BRIDGE: THE CROSS
Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says …
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” —1 Timothy 2:5 (NKJV)

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” —1 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)

”But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice.

STEP 4 – OUR RESPONSE: RECEIVE CHRIST
We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation

The Bible says …
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” —Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” —John 1:12 (NKJV)

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” —Romans 10:9 (NKJV)

Where are you?
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

I don't think so. This is pretty bizarre.
I see those failed image links though. Probably ads to some douchebag's website or book.
By having URLs within images it kind of circumvents typical bot detection. Normally a bot will post a link and immediately get itself flagged.

Of course it helps if the service you're using to hawk your garbage fills out the bot's forms correctly. Money well spent. :u

Could be wrong though. Might literally just be a bot that goes around preaching.
Man, look at how condensed this is. Really gotta trim all that fat to get the bare minimum amount of people to read this nonsense.

Does this sort of thing ever work except on lapsed christians?

Like, it's just jumping straight in there with personal salvation. I don't think the average heathen has the cultural understanding to make anything of it.

The people who write the kind of evangelism tracks this is lifted from think it will work, because they KNOW that it's the truth.  Maybe it was more effective in, say, America 50 years ago when there was more of a vague cultural baseline of belief in things like God and heaven and hell.  Now, at least with the kind of people that hang out on the internet, the starting point would be that there even is a God, not what God thinks about you.

What stood out to me the most is that it went with New King James Version.  Wouldn't have expected that.

Yeah. As much as I don't set any store by religion it's sort of sad that people can't adapt their methods to the times. I feel bad for the people pushing this sort of message, it must be really dispiriting. Unless of course it actually works and we're just not aware of the thousands of converts.

Trust me, people do adapt to the times.  I saw plenty of effective outreach back when I was in college, for example.  Also some not effective outreach, and the group of nutcases who would show up once a semester to yell at everybody.

Do you think a person is holding the bot's leash?  Do they check on the threads it makes and looks for converts, or did they just throw it out there to find forums it was capable of signing up for, post one message, and then leave forever?

Is this the first act of a lazy evangelist, or the last gasp of someone who's knocked on too many doors?

Do you have a soul, christbot?  Where will you spend eternity?
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

I don't know how any of these bots are supposed to work, but we're having a conversation somewhat related so I guess this one is getting what it wants?  The religion thread was a mess anyways, may as well let a bot start the new one.
