open world could work, I mean it has no benifit if the focus is the same as always, it just means more running around rather than transitioning areas.
but if they, for example, have more of a focus on tracking monsters, that could be cool.
but then those firefly things, are those default? they might streamline this for a wider audience, as they like to do and have done with their other franchises.
I don't know, I have a lot of questions.
Open world isn't bad by default if things are still tight and map based, but people who just want there to be no loading screens and zones and expect the gameplay to remain unaffected don't know what they're talking about.
