I enjoy the sound of my own thoughts too much to really get into podcasts unless the topic really, really interests me. Even then, I would prefer reading about it, so I could skip to the interesting part and save time not having to read all of it. Podcasts are just like lectures - I will eventually lose my concentration and drift off into other thoughts. Then I will eventually snap back to it when I hear something interesting, and wonder what was said when I wasn't listening.

But yeah... what with the GamingSteve podcasts, I guess it makes sense this place would be populated by people who enjoy podcasts. Maybe I'll check some of them out sometime anyway... Something to do on a boring day!

How about we use this thread for sharing specific episodes, too?

I caught the start of this one last week.  NPR call in show where the host tries to understand adults who play videogames and keeps trying to tie it back to NEETs, though he never uses the phrase.  You might find it interesting.  Probably you'll hate at least parts of it.  Good times!

Probably not a Goat, either.

Snap Judgment on NPR is an okay show. It takes time and goes into stories such that they are just an offensive caricature of a real issue.

This story is about making friends with KKK people. You've probably heard it in some shape or form in the past.

They start talking about some personal stuff at the start that might not interest you but then they get into some weird ****.

No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Chapo Trap House. Left-wing political comedy for unemployed Humanaties Graduates. Episode 82 (interview with pisspiggrandad) is incredible, as is their Election Day episode.

Also Northern Lion Super Show, which is technically a twitch stream but the focus is almost never on the game and it devolves into a comedy podcast-style argument with a cast of personalities about whether using paper plates is normal human behaviour. Example.
