Hi, i'm currently (well for a few months now) working on a pet raising/battle game that can be played by everyone on twitch, i'm doing the coding as well as art but i'm stuck on having ideas for item names.

So basically the question is if anyone here has ideas for item names such as names for EXP items, health items, stats gain items (hp/dmg/agil/def etc), food item or just general names let me know and there is a high chance i'll add it since i can't think of any.

If there are people that want to go one step further and provide help with items stats (taking balancing into consideration) and what stats an item should have etc you can help my by editing the file below:

Note that the format will most likely be changed later with more or less fields but for now these are currently in use.

The game itself can be played on my twitch channel and pet creation is already live, viewer pet battles is halfway done but at this point only enabled for me to test. The plan is to release a playable version soonTM and with the help of the community here and at my site (although my site is NOT very active, hence i'm also asking here) it can be even soonerTM.

I would suggest blatant honesty and screw flavor.  The purpose of the item name in this case is to quickly and effectively explain what the item does. Get fancy and this is no longer achievable.

So, let's say you have three tiers of item that all boost overall exp when consumed. Call them 'garbage exp thingy', 'passable exp thingy' and 'MLG exp thingy'.

Better idea, call everything a crate because people love random loot drop crates. 'Garbage exp crate', 'passable exp crate', 'MLG exp crate'.

i already have drops in my channel that drops avatar items and csgo cases from my steam inventory so dropping isn't the problem as that is already coded and working properly, that said I've added a few items now but just looking for a lot more to help with variety before i release the game for everyone to play.

Hunh? No. You asked about terminology. That's what I was talking about, not a loot system. Just calling the dropped items crates (even though they aren't) because everyone complains about getting crates in their drops and this entertains me.

Oh make it in to volumes. Which normally they are in book form. so Volume AAA-BAO or something like that. So in the end you would have 10-30 volumes of books.

Stil looking for people that want to help me add random items or think of balancing pet grow/stats etc or creation stats. Although i can do it all by myself i love the idea to interact with others and know what they have in mind.
