I'm freaking out.  The internet is full of previews and spoilers from Comicon.  I've been trying not to look, but temptation is a powerful thing.

That extended intro.

This show is probably one of my top five right now, and maybe my top five ever. It's got a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where it goes from here.

Ugh, yeah. There was an interview with Sugar near the start of season 2 where she said that she considered season 1 a "prologue" and that we hadn't seen anything yet.

Hype!

Still mostly avoiding spoilers, but thanks to the commercials on cartoon network I'm pretty sure I know who Sardonyx is going to be.

Sardonyx is distinct and separate from Citrine, the Pearl/Garnet fusion, as said by Sucrose herself I'm fairly sure. If that's even what you're talking about. I haven't been watching the commercials.

Perhaps a homeworld fusion? Sardonyx is Red and Orange, perhaps Jasper unfuses with Lapis and fuses with somebody else. That would be my immediate assumption.

Sardonyx was confirmed at ComicCon to be the Pearl/Garnet Fusion. Who's Citrine? You've been reading too much fanfic, mah boy!

There are photos/videos of her already on the subreddit.

You're a dang doople dorp, I'll tell you that much.

I'm jealous of you guys, you can watch it on TV. I gotta wait for it to hit the streams. :(

Stevenbomb 3 spoilers beyond this point.

Good job, Steven!  You stopped the Foot!

And on the topic of detachable feet, there's theories going around that Peridot's body is more mechanical than the other, older gems.  More like a gem controlling an android body than the gems' bodies made of hard light or however it works.

Also, I was bored tonight and did a little digging.  I'm really interested in ways that the world in Steven Universe is different from the real world.  Money has different designs and denominations.  Beach City is in Delmarva, a combination of Delaware and parts of Maryland and Virginia.  Pennsylvania is Keystone.  And we've now seen the Earth in three episodes: Jailbreak, Say Uncle, and Friend Ship.  Here's the view when Peridot escapes in Jailbreak.  Florida and probably some other southern states have been heavily altered:

I didn't find a screenshot of the hologram earth in Friend Ship, but it's a match for the one in Say Uncle. Steven Universe Earth is on the left, Uncle Grandpa Earth is on the right.

Again, Florida is heavily altered, though it looks like part of it might still be there.  And in the two views where we can see all of the Americas, South America is much larger than usual and has extra islands off the east coast.  And a huge chunk is missing out of Africa, making it appear that much of Saharan Africa has been shoved into Brazil.  It looks like Gem colonization and war had a huge impact on the geography of the Earth.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I once saw a theory (I don't believe it but it's interesting) that the Gems weren't colonizing Earth, just "harvesting" its rocks, and that they were literally hollowing the Earth out. The huge, cold, but still breathable space outside the warp stream is the cavity inside the Earth.
