I thought I saw a thread for this, but searching turned up nothing.

It's on sale today, and as I was wondering if I should buy it I recalled when I played X3. I remember I played it for a little, did a few quests, but it just took so long for anything to happen that I lost interest. I was very surprised to see I played it for over 50 hours, when I remember so little of it.

I am kind of interested in this but have some questions for those who have it:
- Does it play at a similar pace to X3?
- I want to play in open online mode but wonder if piracy feels as much like griefing as, say, Eve Online did.

Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

Yahtzee has a nice little piece on it where he describes the game nicely. Sorry I haven't played
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

On this point... wouldn't that mean that they made piracy pretty accurate? Because you are ruining someone's day and stealing their stuff. I don't think any part of it is supposed to be nice. If it makes you feel bad, they're doing it right and you have to either tune your conscience out (IMMERSION!!!!) or just not be a pirate.
