I agree with a lot of the criticisms posted here, but I still know I'm going to enjoy the game, I'll buy it, and I don't think that makes me a
spineless dweeb

You're only a spineless dweeb if you encourage people to protest, go on about how you are going to protest, and then have the game pre-loaded a week before release so you can play it at midnight. :D

It gets announced, all the grognards go "Eh it looks ok but too much bugs/bad voice acting/Sean Bean/Liam Neeson/Captain Picard/Adoring Fan/Messed up the Lore, I'm not gonna get it unless its on sale"

You're not a Trugrognard if you like a fallout game other than the first one

Person21 - As enjoyed by Veraal.
A wise Surface to Air Missile once said about marrying 9 year olds in Saudi Arabia "Its pretty hard to tell if a 9 year old is going to be hot when she grows up, kids change a lot, usually, seems like a bad system. That cute little nine year old you married could end being a fat, zitty teenager."

I'm just hoping that the game code is flexible enough to mod in the old dialogue menu or that the new one is versatile enough to not feel dumbed down.

Those character models are definitely Bethesda quality.

Glad they left Gamebryo behind for good, but Creation Engine was already looking dated for Skyrim. And guess what, Fallout 4 will also use Havok!

This game will probably be pretty fun though, unless the "cinematic story" stuff turns out to be true. I like the base-building stuff. Those were the mods I always used to get for their games.

Also, third person mode? lol

well, the creation engine is basically an updated version of gamebryo, so... sorta, but also not really, but sorta

I'm not sure if what I am about to say is heresy or not...

But maybe Fallout needs a reboot. Start the story and lore all over again.

I don't really think that's necessary. The world of Fallout is a big place, especially considering there's not a lot of long-distance communication across the continent. You can easily tell as many entirely self-contained stories as you like within the setting, no reboot needed.

Yeah that's a good point.

I guess I'm wishing I could go back to, say, the DC Wasteland with all the trappings of what I hope modern and future Fallout games will have now that our technology is sufficiently able to render really nice, detailed 3D environments. But then again, there's no reason they can't set another game in that place. Or maybe (even better!!) they can someday make a Fallout game where you have an entire swath of the US to travel. Fallout: Northeast would be awesome - you could play from DC out to Ohio and up to Maine. Awwwwwww baby I can't wait for the next next Fallout game. :D

Well I like the words and the mini city they show off seems like it has a lot of structures; hopefully by 'details' they mean 'depth'?
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.
