My list of games to buy
« on: December 28, 2005, 12:18:25 pm »
What to do with my xmas money?  I have complied a list of games I should check out:

- Conker live and Reloaded
- Oddworld Stranger
- ninja Gaiden Black
- Battlefield 2
- FEAR
- Sly cooper 3
- Indigo Prophecy
- Forza Motorsport
- Dragon Quest VIII
- Fire emblam: Radience
- Trackmania Sunrise.
- Shadow of the colossus
- Prince of Perisa 3
- Beyond good and evil

Obviously, I can't get them all.
Does anything on this list jump out at you and say.. Oh my god, do not pass go, and pick this game up right away!

Thanks,

Steve

I personally enjoyed Oddworld Strangers Wrath. I also have Conkers but haven't finished it.

FEAR is supposed to be one of the best games all this year...if your computer can run it.

I got many hours of screaming out of battlefield 2, though the load times can be awful. I'd do pushups and situps while I waited.

I'll probably end up buying a slim PS2 and buying these games, eventually. At least they sound pretty cool.

- Indigo Prophecy

- Dragon Quest VIII

- Shadow of the colossus

Yeah get Oddworld Strangers Wrath.  Awesome Game. And also get Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

If you really like turn based strategy games then Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is really a must buy.

Okay...

I would suggest that you NOT get Battlefield 2 unless you have played it and are sure that you like its style of play.

Also, don't get Conkers. Pull out your old N64 (You have one right?  ;)) and buy Conkers Bad Fur Day for two bucks. It is the original, plus it isn't censored... as much.

Get Indigo Prophecy if you like Adventure games. I love it and reccomend it to all who love the genre.

GET TRACKMANIA SUNRISE.  ;D

Be wary of Prince of Persia 3... I just have a problem with those games...

Have fun!

They were not what I thought they would be...

I didn't really enjoy the first and the second was kind of... blah...

The acrobatics were really cool but they got old for me.

What is the third like?

Combat is much cooler, because you can sneak up behind people and do a Speed Kill, which requires you to press X (on an XBOX) at certain times. The SK's sound boring when you read about them, but are really fun to do. Then of course there are the awesome combo moves you can do as the Dark Prince.

I think its more important that your computer has a 2.5 Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, and a 256MB Graphics ram.

I second what T-Bird said about Beyond Good & Evil. You should be able to find a used copy for a good price now. Just check some of the online retailer sites. This was a really fun action/adventure game. Oddworld Stranger's Wrath also rocks. Great graphics and gameplay. Using live ammo was a very cool idea.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  I have so far picked up Ninja gaiden (which I hate and will be trading in very soon), and Shadow of the colossus, which I am loving!.

I didn't know they censored Conker on the xbox. (i don't have an n-64).
