No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

I won't be satisfied until cyborg roller derby-ball to the death is broadcast live across the holoTVs of the United Corporation of America.

I'd be a lot more okay with football if, like... pay the guys and take care of them and their families, everyone knows you're gonna get turned to a jelly monster by old age, hard hits and good old-fashioned fubble.

You fool. The true master race sport of the future is and always is going to will be BLERNSBALL.

Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

See, in Football, the violence is hidden behind layers of padding, clothing, uniform, helmets. There's no identity on the field, they are football players, not people; hence why the NFL is so stringent on showmanship, they are not people, they are a team of elite players playing an elite game.

So, when one gets completely ****ing destroyed, they can rotate in another with the same helmet, uniform, and general appearence and game goes on, no one talks about it, and it's forgotten. Therefore the violence isn't directed at a human, it's at a 'player', so it becomes more family friendly.

Watching two dudes just beat eachother to a bloody pulp isn't something you can tell your wife you're taking your kids to on a Sunday afternoon

I agree with the sentiment. But that's not true. :(

Yeah, if that wasn't true then Pro Wrestling wouldn't be as big as it is, either.  And John Cena wouldn't have gone to see 1.2 million Make a Wish kids.
Probably not a Goat, either.

Those aren't the same scale of football, though, again, because of the personality involved

few mom will take a kid to wrestling sure,

almost any mom will take a kid to football if the kid is a fan

Guess I have to fill out a March Madness Bracket.  Help me Nate Silver, you're my only hope!

Oh boy the Kentucky Derby!  With the most NBC of all NBC sports coverage!  Five hours of fluff human interest pieces for a five minute event.  Also white people in silly hats getting sloppy drunk on mint juleps.
Probably not a Goat, either.
