Well, not sure we're going to get that in depth, though it would be cool.

Also, we have a 3/5 vote for this map:

so I'm just gonna call it there.

Next step! I'm going to go ahead and pick some possible distributions for continental organisms and put those of for vote. I'll edit this post once they are up.

I like the last map the most. I dunno, I just like long snakey continents.

*nudge nudge*

The reason I am asking you these questions is because you never gave us a tutorial and I know using Google Earth like this will be new to... probably everyone. >_>
Not for me! \o/
There is, of course, a difference between having a laugh with someone, and having a laugh at their expense

Go knowledge!

I'll just make a new post I guess since I can now. :P

Here are the options: [Link]

Key:

Green: Africa
Teal: Europe
Red Violet: Asia
Orange: Oceania
Blue: North America
Magenta: South America
Ice color: Either Arctic or Antarctic (we can decide which goes where separately).

Not shown: Icecaps

Vote away!

Edit: Also, some of the maps may have parts that can be interchanged in between them to create a hybrid of the two, if you want that, make a post about it.

That first one puts three types of whatevers on that one leftmost continent. The race wars will burn bright!! Pick that one, guys.

Well, it appears that we have a winner:

Now, we get to decide which pole will be arctic and which will be antarctic organisms. Not gonna put up a poll for this one. Just voice your opinions!

Ehhh, use the standard Earth configuration. Boring, but familiar.

How about the centre of the planet is cold and the poles are molten lava?
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

That's stupid Sam.

It would only work if the planet was struck by something so massive that its axis rotated 90 degrees and its days were made quite short.

Like your mom.

So, it seems the consensus is to have Arctic organisms in the North Pole, and Antarctic in the south pole.

Alright! We're nearly ready to get started! First, here is a link to the giant blank map. I'm going to divide that map into a certain number of regions and everyone who wants to participate in this round will get a certain number of points to claim regions for them to edit this round. This round will be Biome Generation. I'll post a more detailed description once the round starts. I will also provide the .KMZ file so people can view everything we have so far and don't have to figure out how to put everything into Google Earth themselves.

For now, though, I need to know everyone who wishes to participate in the Biome Generation round.

I'll play!

Slinky, just for serious for a moment, please turn the hyper down if you're gonna play. You got a lot of good ideas swirling around in that brain of yours but you have to stay somewhat focused and don't be more random than the game is designed for. I feel comfortable telling you this because we're both of similar types.
