No, I'm terribly uncoordinated and unathletic. I'm like 20 pounds overweight :/ (270 lbs)

Now is a good time to start getting into those good habits. I did not and it's a lot tougher now.

I remember reading in one of these soylent articles that the stuff is better if you let it sit for a while after mixing.  Clumps in beverages sounds gross.

Anyway, good luck and godspeed.

You should start playing basketball casually anyway. You'll have an advantage from your grotesque, monstrous height which will offset your nerdy incoordination.

soooo, yesterday, i drank the entire day's soylent at 1530 and was asleep near 2400... but starting at 2100, and for the next 3 hours, i had just about the most awful gas imaginable.  but no indigestion, pain, hunger, or anything else i've read from other experiences

here are some pictures of today's soylent

1 day of soylent powder, the canola/fish oil

the soylent powder.  when adding the oil, the soylent takes on a doughy look.  i'm sure someone has baked soylent cookies because of this...

the pitcher/mixer, with half a day's soylent remaining. (around 2 small glasses)  splitting it 50/50 works pretty nice.  perhaps you can make out the chalkiness

the nutritional facts

Is 2000 calories a day a lot? Because I need like a 3800 calorie a day diet to not starve.

Keep telling yourself that, and enjoy the diabetes.

No, I'm serious, I actually got that calculated at some point. I just checked and it's actually like 3200 but I'm not overeating and I do eat relatively healthily. I tend to stick to fruits, vegetables, white meat, grains, that sort of thing. I avoid most heavily processed foods.

The problem is that I don't exercise, which I should start doing. Although I have started cycling about a mile each day and I'm already losing a little weight so I think things are looking pretty good.

Then you *are* overeating. Your requirements aren't calculated based off some arbitrary "X amount of food per day", its based off how many calories you're burning vs how many you're eating. If you did literally no physical activity at all then the government-endorsed 2000 calories a day for an adult man would be overeating.

Having formerly been fat, Sam is right. It's all diet related, if you want to weigh less it's as simple as eating less food, add cardio if you want but it's optional (you should do cardio for heart and lung health not to lose weight). If you want to weigh less but have more muscle, eat less food but make most of it protein and do a weightlifting routine life Starting Strength or Standard Lifts 5x5. If you want to gain mass, eat more food and
