It's a mistake.

They can barely make a functional single player game. If they make an MMO, modding is out the window. That means we have to depend on Bethesda for a polished product with timely and meaningful updates. Bethesda generally does not make polished games. They release a buggy mess and wait for the fans to make it great.

I'm going to hold back any excitement about the game until I get some details about combat. If it's just another WoW clone I'll completely lose any interest I might have had.

I don't know why they just don't add multiplayer to Skyrim or something similar.

Why's it gotta be an MMO? Why not servers or something?

I'm skeptical and somewhat hostile to this idea :/
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Multiplayer is anathema to the Elder scrolls.

As soon as its multiplayer you as the player character are no longer the godlike waking dreamer agent imposing his divinely mandated will on Mundus.

Crap. I was hoping for a ES6 down the line. it probably would have gone to the southwest, and I really wanted to murder more snobby elves.

See, but why can't they just do a simple 'invite your friends to your world' style game? I honestly wouldn't care that I wasn't the only god like being if it meant me and my buds could run around Skyrim and kick eachothers asses. (NWN style)

By buds i mean you guys. I have no other friends that play games haha.

I don't wanna read it. Is anyone bored enough to look through 20 pages of what is surely total jank?

In the biz, games developers use the term "MMO", which stands for "More Money Ooooh".

Its more of the same.

Nothing new there at all MMO-wise, and no information about anything else really.

I'm just sort of dissapointed that one of the first times a lot of these provinces get properly fleshed out will be in a bull****ty MMO instead of in the standalone games.
