So I've bought this game today. So far it's been a blast. Here's a picture of my house for the first night.

He did.  That's super neat.

Man, I should've sent something in for that album when I had the chance.

Lookatroopa, why not just sleep in your ship? You're gonna leave that planet before long anyway.

If you're on stairs or on a platform, if you hold 'Down' and press Jump, you fall through.
It'd make more sense if you had to jump or hold 'Up' to climb them, so the reverse of the current system. But removing the lowest step solves that, and it's not even too ugly.

I hope they implement changing your beam-down location soon though, it'd be nice to just beam down into a sweet base you claimed for yourself or something.
They're also going to add a way to easily and cheaply get back to your home planet, to actually give a reason to build a large base.

I think I'm gonna wait with diving deep into this game until the next character wipe though, which they said would be to implement a whole new save format and would eliminate the need for further wipes.
No timeframe on that as far as I know though, sadly.

Just finished bringing my 2nd character to Sector X, and I'm going to try to hold off, playing until until next year unless they have a big update that opens up more sectors. 75 hours over 4 characters.

**Edit** Might want to hold off on building crazy stuff, next update will wipe universe and quest, but your characters are safe for now.

So looks lie the universe is reset but anything on the character is saved (not the ship) so I got to keep the gear I was wearing and any loot I had in my inventory (not locker). I also seem to remember techs and 3D printer recipes. So its easy to regain quests.

The downside is my so called "perfect planet" now has acid pools and acid rain!!! Not to mention super low gravity. So much for Earth-like.  :(

EDIT: Good news and bad news. The good news is that I found on my first try a NEW Earth-like planet that has not only Blue Skies, Brown Soil and Green Grass but also some decent green trees. The bad side is its in the Gamma sector so new players may not be so safe. Here is the location for anyone who cares ...

Gamma OV Cep 451 IIc
Biome: Forest
Level: 3
X: -22640777
Y: -10503737

Note in my game it just has a few fanatics and avian huts on it. So no major bases as far a I can tell. There is also an eyeball mini biome with some pink liquid pools. But for the most part the plant looks as close to Earth as I have seen.

Cool!

I'm not sure it matters if I post the password or not. It's a 15 player server. Have fun!!
