So like... Kendo?

Disclaimer: I have never seen Kendo performed. I have no idea what I'm talking abutt.

Fair comparison, Kendo sticks are like our weapons. But the SCA is more..brutal I guess? Kendo armor is a lot like fencing gear. Our weapons are rattan which is the wood wiqer furniture is made out of, its weighty, heavy and packs a punch. Buts its not as solid as say, a baseball bat. A blow to the head without a helmet would still likely kill you or cause severe damage.

Here's some heavy combat, battles and tourneys.

I'd rather have what martial arts training I have than have to have a set of armor and sword on hand at all times :P

That feel when I met a cute Doctor Who fan / psychonaut who is attractive and British.

Pretty sure it's more like this...

I'm actually not a psychonaut but whatever.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Well, getting a job isn't that hard. It's getting a career that's difficult. Still working on that myself, and I graduated four years ago.

Welp, I am now officially a part of PwCs Risk Assurance team and will have a full time job as an associate after I finish grad school.

Glad you guys have been around and I'm not sure I'd be the same person without having you guys to bounce off my stupid ideas and ever changing hopes. And the games rps discussions and everything else.

No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone that gets a job with even minor influence on the lives of normal people.

Watch out for the little guy and be a good person. We need you.

Don't be greedy and remember that what you do impacts real individuals. People are the only thing that will ever matter, nothing else.

I have an awesome job lined up as well. It doesn't really affect normal people though.
What is even more awesome is that I just learned that the old couple I'll be renting a room from is letting me stay for free.

I keep wondering if something terrible is about to happen to make up for these great opportunities that come my way.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I had that feeling once. Then eventually things did go terribly wrong. But it may have been partly because I was expecting things to go wrong. Or maybe I didn't expect it enough. But if bad **** happens, it just means things are bound to get up again, so don't worry about it.

...

Until then, try to keep up the good strike. ;)
