Yeah, I don't think that it's very easy to write a dramatic, fun story about two remotely-operated giant death ships instakilling each other from 200 miles. In future-esque sci-fi that makes any bit of sense, warfare is technically less up-close and personal.  Relatively, though, it can be as close to the enemy as one wants, with radio (or some advanced iteration of it), zooming 3-D cameras instead of glass cockpits, and, of course, boarding parties.
Imagine two massive frigates, miles above a planet's surface. Each of them is charging up a superweapon: the attacker's is aimed at a colony on the planet, and the defender's is aimed at the attacker. Since both frigates have defenses that can repel anything short of the superweapon, they have to resort to different, creative means of disabling each other. This is where the situation can be really fun and dramatic. Each side could launch slow-moving stealth mines, transfer boarding parties, or if all fails, ram the ship. I'm sure that there are many more ways of attacking, and that's the fun of it.
What I'm trying to say here is that you can make futuristic warfare fun and exciting.

Or you can go with my favorite, the starfighter route.

I actually think that live-storytelling (I don't like to call this style RPing exactly) is actually more in the style of battles than Forumming in any case. I saves pages too. Too bad the community is worldwide for the most part. (Unless it's not...?  ;))
Goddamnit kitkat, you make me look late
Come check out The Bino and The Ni'Calls
(Or don't these are old and embarrasing)

We've got a Belgian and a German, and I think Yuu is in the Philippines. I suppose there are a few Brits here and there. Oh yeah, and our resident Canadian dolphin. But most people here are American, quite a few on the Pacific coast.

Getting on track, why hasn't the actual RP moved along in a while? Wasn't there a cliffhanger about Talsenreave station showing up? And what about Beyon?
I came, I saw, I went back to bed.

Sorry, but probably can't post today.

Totally not feeling all too well, and a presentation up tomorrow.

Hopefully, I'll manage to sleep this off.

Go ahead and sleep it off! You can do it, Yuu! Sleep that sickness off! Sleep that bastard off a cliff! Sleep it off so hard, it'll regret ever messing with Yuu! Then ride, ride, ride that pony to victory!

If you don't, we're all going to die!
Who are you again and why in the world would you expect anything resembling rationality or civility in youtube comments?

Feeling better now (though this new throat pain's been bugging me for a while now), for a while now, actually.

This storm two storms just happened to come by and wrecked the local ISPs, screwing with the connections and downing it on and off for a few days.

In any case, internet's back to normal, I think.

PS. Thanks guys. ^^

Know what?

**** this.

I really only did this because Plank of Wood wanted to back then.

In a time when people weren't such fucking pedants.

Let alone when they were polite about things and didn't have to reach for Freudian cliches.

EDIT 01/27/2015: Sigh. I was such a silly fool.
