Creations of the Sorcerer Cults
Homunculi: A horrid combination of grotesque rotting flesh and metal, animated by black psychic sorcery, the Homunculi is a truly horrid creation of the Sorcerers cults. While normal Vrin warbands tend to only possess a handful of them, it’s not uncommon for Sorcerer cults to possess entire armies of these monstrosities. Their forms vary to suit a variety of different roles, from basic ground units to serve as fodder to massive heavy support. Homunculi are created either from the enemies dead, their corpses sometimes taken apart to create new horrifying creations, or they have their parts grown individually from biological vats. Once prepared, the Homunculi’s flesh is crudely fused to technological systems to serve as the foundation for its reanimation. Once all systems are in place the final pieces of psycho engineered tech are installed and the black rights begin. Necromancers proceed with psychic techniques; their power and technology work in unison to bring the desired effect. The Homunculi is then programmed and prepared for its new tasks.
Carphyroghaus: One of the most mysterious creations of the Vrin Sorcerers, a group of Carphyroghaus is a prize for any Vrin warlord. These mysterious machines forms vary, satisfying the role that most types of heavy support vehicles (Tanks, mechs, ect) would fill. They constantly glow with alien energies and their joints, exhausts, and visual optics constantly seem to spark and burn, belching out smoke and foul waste, indeed the entire machines looks as if some type of power is just waiting to burst out and explode like a nuclear bomb. While most races would classify a this machine as some type of A.I guided war droid, it’s actions and fighting style, heck, the way it moves just seems to just seems to defy such claims.
The way it might bite a creatures head off and seemingly drink blood from its neck or perhaps its nasty habit of constantly screaming out alien curses in black tongues, or perhaps the sheer viciousness it shows in battle just seems to go beyond the psychological warfare strategies a simple robot could be programmed with. Destroyed Carphyroghaus have so far revealed little about their inner workings. Conventional science just sees a hulk of foreign metal with weapons strapped on to it with absolutely no signs of a power source or central control systems. The secrets to creating Carphyroghaus are well kept the Sorcerer cults who possess them.
