2012 Elections
« on: May 16, 2011, 12:23:41 pm »
President Obama announced his candidacy weeks ago, and we've already had the first Republican candidates debate.  It is time.

This will be the thread for discussing all aspects of the 2012 elections, from state and local candidates flipping out and doing stupid things, to which Republican will lose to Obama.

I actually kind of wish Trump was running. I would have been interested to see his economic policy, since as of right now that is what I feel is most important.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Trumps economic policy would have been "Hey look I'm rich doesn't that sort of imply that I can pay off everything in the minds of the extremely gullible."

And yeah, I have not seen a republican candidate that could really pull it off, in the gut feeling sort of way. It is the same way I could tell that the democrats had no one in 2004 that could make it.

I'm not sure that counts.

They should let the Tea Party do the campaign ads. You know, just to drive their point home/nail in their coffin.

When in 2012 are these elections?
Maybe it's me, but isn't it a bit early to start campaigning?

Arnald Swartzenegge
On the off-chance you're not joking, the dude can't run for president since he's not born in America.
(In before 'Neither was Obama')

No it's not because they're starting just now otherwise we would already have a thread on this.

Even if he did, it wouldn't prove anything, since it's in German so nobody would be able to read it :y

US Presidential elections are every four years, election day is the first tuesday in november.

Trump isn't running, thank God.  Neither is Arnold, for reasons already mentioned plus announcing today that he has a child from cheating on his wife.  Colbert is too busy running his PAC to run for office.
Probably not a Goat, either.
