Make up your mind, Pat.
The storm is coming.
Choose a side.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

Watch an episode with YouTube autocaptioning on. I can get pretty hilarious.

EDIT: This is very interesting as well.

Indeed!

The autocaps are hilarious!   ;D

As for the article, I think the writer might be overgeneralizing a bit, though.

While Twilight's a unicorn, she really isn't a good baseline for the sub-race as a whole. She's Celestia's prodigy after all, and is a unicorn which specifically focuses on magic, like Trixie, except less flashy and with more oomph to it.

I think a better baseline unicorn would be Rarity.

Additionally, while not the writer's fault, we also saw in the Cutie Mark Chronicles that Twilight's has so much raw power that Celestia was actually mildly surprised at her and even noted that she hasn't seen such a powerful unicorn in more or less a thousand years.

That, and she turned her dad into a cactus.  ^_^

As for the Earth Ponies, they're actually capable of making the land under their hooves fertile through some sort of passive aura, kinda like magic-super-fertilizer, so large-scale farming really wouldn't be as successful without them.

Yeah it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. The blog is called Overthinking It, after all.

Tonight's episode was decidedly meh. At least next week is the first part of the finale.

PS- Except for when it retains to directly plot-related things I don't think anyone cares about spoiler tags on lore.

Who are you again and why in the world would you expect anything resembling rationality or civility in youtube comments?
