Any artists in here?
« on: December 13, 2005, 10:26:13 pm »
Are there any artists (of any medium) here?
I'm a fledgling artist, just sorta starting to make art outside of pointless school assignments.
The thing is, whenever I see someone do something cool, then I feel like doing whatever they did, e.g. I read a book and want to become a writer, hear music and attempt to learn the piano (got bored after a while), but my sister is an artist and I don't like people showing me up soo I've started making art!
Also, Shameless promotion 2 my dA site: http://metallicdragon.deviantart.com/

Anyone else want to share their art?

My sister is very, very good at either hand-drawn or computer drawings. She can do wonders with naught but MS Paint. She's 12 o.O
As long as it's animals she's drawing. She won the Texas Art Show thing for her entire school. (6th to 8th grade, she was in 6th)

I'll see if I can find a pic.

Here's something I did in a little free time. It's not a masterpiece, but I like that style of art.

(I'm doing piano, and it's very easy to me and satisfying when you play a song perfectly.)

that 'deviant art' site strikes me as a bit paradoxical. The name suggests radical non-conformism, yet the majority of the pictures are Goth or Fatasy renderings: discuss.

That smiting hand looks a bit pythonesque.

well i fancy myself an artist. I act, direct, play drums, write and do photography. I too have the problem of doing one thing, then get bored, and then switch focus to the next, and sometimes i get back to what i was actually doing before, mostly not though. hence, I'm and artist that gets nothing finished.

Just like me! I have great plans for an animtion or a painting, but after some hours I give up, lose interest. That's bad, since good art takes months. I'm good at drawings on plain paper though, since they take half an hour, maximum.

Wish i could draw... Im ok sometimes... I'm good at random times.  If I try to draw things twice (aka I draw a good dragon, so I try to draw another) and the second one is hooooorible.
