Your Life Is Screwed Up
« on: February 15, 2011, 10:30:03 pm »
You're pretty weird.

I might even say that you're not really human.

Not in the normal sense.

You look human.

For the most part, you're biologically human.

But you have no memories of events, up to this point, despite physically being adult.

You see out of two sets of eyes-one male, one female.

Both are apparently in the same location.

That location is a house, in a city full of people who are human in the normal sense.

A turn can be months, days or minutes.  Whatever you want to do.  Experiment.  See further ways that you're not quite human.

Go find yourselves and analyze each body using the other one.

Check for traits that might be similar between the two. That might clue you in to what just happened.

From your female body, you can see that your male body has black hair.

From your male body, you can see that your female body also has black hair (though it is longer).

From your female body, you can see that your male body has entirely black eyes.

From your male body, you can see that your female body has entirely black eyes.

Voids.

You still see just as well.

You attempt procreation amongst your bodies.

Shortly thereafter, you feel a slight growth in your mind.

A third viewpoint.

Very vague.

You can't quite make any of the details out.

Just blackness.

Slowly becoming clearer.

I was afraid this would happen.  :P

Wouldn't this cause massive inbreeding, though?

Whatever, breed some more!  :P

Then find two pairs of shades and go outside to gather intel on the area.

Consensus has not been reached, so I will go for the less destructive course.

You exit your house.

From both bodies, you can see that your house is painted entirely white and is entirely square.

You are in a large neighborhood full of similar, but more variable houses.

You have already bred.

Your female body is already pregnant.

You are now wearing sunglasses, but you are both still naked.

Go outside anyways?

No, go examine the house for anything. We may require weaponry for self defense, but clothes take priority.

Also, examine the third mind some more. We should not theoretically be able to see through the baby for another several months.

In your house, you manage to find one hundred large, unlabeled cans.

You also find a pair of sunglasses, two white t-shirts, two pairs of shorts, and two pairs of sandals.

You also find a faucet that presumably allows use of water.

You also find a bed and a toilet.

The third mind is giving you no sensory information, just confirmation of its own existence.

Have the female body go look for a can opener while the other puts on some clothes and examine the perimeter of the house for anything.

If the female body doesn't find a can opener, have her go put on some of the clothes.

As for the hive mind as we'll call it for now, attempt to see if it has other abilities other than controlling the bodies.

There are no can openers in the house, currently.

Both the male body and the female body are now wearing clothes.

You only have one pear of sunglasses for the two of you, however.

You can judge the relative positions of all of our bodies in space, without any sort of sensory contact between them, if you so choose.

Alright, examine the stars positions and see if we're really on planet Earth and what the current date is.

Have the female body examine the cans to see if the cans' contents can be discerned without opening them.

Have the male body first put on the sunglasses, examine the house's perimeter.

Have the hive mind do a double check to make sure if it didn't miss anything and have it examine the two bodies and baby in detail. If they have completely black eyes, theres gotta be something they have.

While visiting, keep a look out for single woman of breeding age, and begin attempting to seduce them.

If new bodies created by the breeding of the Entity with Individuals are not part of the Entity, it's bodies may suffer problems caused by the lack of genetic diversity as it grows.

The eyes are not only black, but they are black in a way that is seemingly physically impossible.

Specifically, they seem to lead into an infinite black space.

You can still see out of them as though they were eyes, though.

Starmaps correlate with those on Earth on the Summer solstice perfectly.

You are on Earth.

It is the Summer solstice.

There is a cupboard below the faucet containing a knife and a post it note covered in lines and symbols you cannot decipher (and a few letters and numbers).

The cans are full of a white substance with a fluffy texture.

Properties are unknown.

Both of your adult bodies are now dressed.

Both of your adult bodies are now at the neighbor's house.

Your male body rings the doorbell.

Your female body turns around so that her eyes remain unseen.

A female individual answers the door.  "Hello?"

Leave the female body there to socialise.

Assuming STD tests won't make appear unusual (I'll assume only the brain and eyes are any different from a normal human), have the male body pay a visit to the sperm bank.

All of your genes have a unique property called Superdominance.

This means that all of your children will be genetically indistinguishable from your original specimens (the only difference being which set of sex chromsomes are active, but even then you still have an XX and an XY in every cell), regardless of who the other parent is.

This is visible on human inspection, so no, the sperm bank would not accept your donation.

"Hello, we're the Peterson family.  We're new to the neighborhood."

"Oh!  Welcome!  I hope you find life is really nice here in Denton-are you married?"  She looks at your male body as though with a deeply hormonal hope that you are not.

Tell her that you are married. It will appear less strange when the female shows signs of pregnancy that way.

Leave the female body there to socialise.

Have the male body pay a visit to the sperm bank.

Then do that.

Furthermore, "shows signs of pregnancy"?  The baby was just concieved today!  If not for your hivemind nature, the mother would not even be able to tell that she was pregnant!

By "this woman", are you referring to your female body, or to the neighbor?

If the former, then yes.

If the latter, then no.

Why is this even a question?

"No, she's actually my sister."

Your female body waves in a friendly manner, but as quickly as possible to avoid suspicion of malpractice with eyes.

She then leaves.

"Oh, do you have to leave?"

"Well, she does, but I thought I might get to know you a bit better."

"Sure!  Come in!"

She smiles awkwardly and closes the door behind you.

You look around.  Her house doesn't have much furniture in it, but it's still a lot more than you have.

"So where do you work?"

You lost your last job because some of your co-workers, to put it mildly, don't like you, and sabotaged you for it. Which is why you decided to move to Denton in order to find work and cut ties with them.

Also, tell her that moving away isn't much of a problem for you, since you don't have much in the way of family anyway. This is because you two are the only ones left alive after your parents died in a car accident during your young adulthood. You don't have many associates left where you came from either, since most of them have already move away some time before you moved to here.

Also, before we get carried away, formally introduce yourself: "They call me... Jack."  8)

"It's a long story... I lost my last job.  Some of my coworkers didn't like me, and they sabotaged me for it."

She looks horrified, in a compassionate way.

"So, I moved away to cut ties with them.  I don't have much family left.  My parents died in a car accident.  My sister is one of the only people I really know, now.  But the people who do know me...  They call me... Jack."

"I'm so sorry!"

You notice that her arm is around your male body.

"It's okay...", tell her compassionately while reassuring her.

You managed to survive the first time [your parents' death], so I guess you can take on another round. Have to mostly start over, though. As long as there's a reason to survive, you'll never back down against the fight.  :)

Shortly thereafter, you recieve another viewpoint, another very dim one like the one inside your female body.

A few seconds later, and you gain a clear viewpoint, like "Jack" and your original female body.

This clear viewpoint is looking at Jack.

Spatial memory tells you that it is the woman that you bred with.

No we are not gonna donate to the sperm bank, so just please be quiet about it.

Examine the woman's memory, lets see what we can dig up about her.

The woman's memory seems to have been annihilated upon takeover.

Your second command is unclear.

So, in theory, is it possible to make all of the controlled people have sex with other people, so that those people become controlled too, and then you can in turn make those people have sex with other people until everyone in the world is under the control of this collective sentience?
