Blunt, Blade and Block have been rolled into one skill.
Magic was removed from the game for fears that it would make the game harder to market to a wider audience.
Athletics, Acrobatics, Sneak, Lockpicking, Holding down the Shift Key and Attacking have been rolled into one skill.
Skyrim is now a forest. Wait we mean it was always a forest. What mountains?
Hello. Hello. I saw a snowcrab the other day. Awful creatures. I avoid them when I can. I was travelling and I saw a snowcrab down by the lake. I made sure to steer clear of that. There are rumours the dragons are coming back. We're all terrified. Awful creatures. There are rumours the dragons are coming back. We're all terrified. I'm sure it's just a rumour. Goodbye. Goodbye. Hello. Hello. If you want to learn lockpicking, Salen Ravel is the person to talk to. I saw a goblin the other day. Awful creatures. They say Salen Ravel is the master of lockpicking, but I can't say for sure. How are you today? How are you doing? Goodbye. Goodbye. *walks into wall*
Morrowind and Black Marsh have both been completley destroyed by some random-ass thing out of nowhere. What, you wanted a province we'd actually have to put effort into? Idiot. Look, M'aiq the Liar is calling you a retard for wanting something! Look how stupid you are!
See, this is a demonstration we're doing at E3. No scripts, this is all just the AI doing its thing. By the way don't look in the scripts folder in the construction set. Actually...
The construction set can no longer edit scripts as we feel that would not apply to a wider audience.
You have real moral choices to make that change the world. For instance you can collect 100 Nirnroot or you can not collect 100 Nirnrroghbbblbkhaaghhhkkghhhhghjhhh

Confirmed: The Elder Scrolls V will use an entirely new engine.

You guys can stop *WEASELKINGING* now.
We'll see, the only thing that stops me from believing that is that is what they said LAST time. They were very insistent on that 'fact' that Oblivion had "An entirely new engine!", so insistent that even a year after its release, I was still correcting folks on that issue. I remember doing it multiple times on this website too.

Bethesda has a long history of outright lying about features of the game while they are building up hype. Back with Morrowind, there were pictures of the gondola drivers of Vivec actually in a boat and driving the player. There was a picture of traveling merchants towing a pack laden Guar around. Those all turned out to be staged for the early promos. None of those were ever in the game (except of course the models for the pack guar and gondola drivers), but by the time the game was released those early promo pictures were forgotten.

This far away from release, they will say "Yes" to almost every question. By the time the game is released, the game engine question will have been forgotten. I have seen their hype machine built up twice before, I know how that beast operates. So I don't believe pretty much anything Bethesda says right now when it comes to features, and neither should you.

Also their source has been posted.
And their source.

I've lost my opinion on the engine. I'm just in this argument for the sauce.

As for Wizardman- I haven't been paying attention to Bethesda long enough to know about what you're saying (though I can totally see what you say as being true.) So...eh, better to just wait until some actual gameplay footage is out.

GameInformer apparently has the exclusive, and it'll be on their front cover in their February issue.

Why not? Oblivion was a truly enjoyable game - it wasn't Morrowind, but so what. Honestly, I didn't ever get past the first ten hours in Morrowind, I got tired of getting my ass kicked by one monster or another. There has to be an enjoyable way to play that game, I really want to like it!

P.S. Could someone tell me how to enjoy Morrowind? I get told by the Blade guy to go level by joining a guild before proceeding but I always get stuck in a quest and quit out of boredom.

I see no problems here.
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.
