That Kinect ad at the end completely kills the mood.

Dude.

Thank you for the update.

Will I have to remove pretty much all mods now or what?
No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

Bethesda usually make their DLCs to work just like mods, so no you don't have to remove any.

Anyway, it's a bit pricey for a DLC in my opinion. If it was an expansion it would be acceptable.

Yeah yeah, nerco bump...

Anyhow, my cheap *** finally got around to buying this off the Steam sale. Played for a few hours, realized I was not liking my chosen method (nice guy with sword and shield) and restarted. Now I am a happy go lucky murdering archer thief doing a generally clockwise circle walk-about around the map having not bothered doing the first storyline quest yet. It does make me wonder, not having really played it much or read about it, if I am killing off the NPCs I might need later. Some sorry furry in a light house got mad at me when i broke in to his house so I double tapped him with some steel arrows and took all his food and belongings. Not sure what guards he was yelling for, maybe the guys in the boat down the hill, yeah as the saying goes, boring conversation anyways there too.

So far i'm having fun but the controls are clunky as hell.

Essential people cannot be perma-killed, they sorta collapse onto one knee but will get back up. Well, some people can be killed that are quest essential but a notice pops up saying you failed a mission (even if you don't have it in your journal).

Quest significant characters can't die, they just cower in fear.

EDIT - Ninja'd.

Did you pick up Dawnguard? It's about as good as knights of the nine in terms of value added. I'd say it's worth it, especially if the werewolves or vampire aspects have interested you.

Lego you should look into some mods. They have a few that fix the garbage UI and the series' trademark ****ty combat. :P

I haven't played in a while but this list (albeit an older version) did not steer me wrong. Does anyone have suggestions for Lego if he's interested in mods?

Whatever the case, you definitely want to get a mod that fixes the awful UI. Thankfully it seems that Steam supports mods for this game in the workshop. Check out this UI mod!

I'm on vacation so I don't have my list on hand, but I can remember what I think we're my top 3.Other than the SkyUI mod, I enjoyed the better cities, sounds of skyrim, and the moonpath to elsewhyr.

The first two provide a much better atmosphere, the third ads a pretty extensive quest with a unique setting. If you're wanting some challenging 'bosses', legendary creatures was pretty fun in my book.

If you think magic is underpowered I'd look into the mod that provides scaling spells, I think it's like better magika or something like that. Beware though because at some point it kind of makes magic op. Then again I think at some level the game loses all challenge anyway.
