Wow, guys, I don't think Flamester is lying about being a cop, there's no other way he could have known about the Flavour text.

No, he's definitely not lying about cop. I had his power for a turn if you recall and it was verified by the detective. We just think he's the MAFIA cop.
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Um... just so we're clear on this in case he turns out to be a townie cop, you guys do remember that both cops can be townies in this game, right?

I was going to point out that flamester_ technically could be a bouncer or something, but I guess Krakow Sam knows better than to be so needlessly duplicitous.

So, yeah, he's a cop. Hopefully a crooked one.
Not a winner anymore.

Yes, but flamester just sucks.

So we're clear that even if he's innocent, that I can still be innocent?

It doesn't really matter though, seeing as this Mexican stand-off is the only reason the Mafia haven't killed me yet, so flamester_ it is.

Obfuscation was the word of the day, as some claimed failure of report and others espoused reports that, due to a past of forged documents, could be useless and false even if entirely honest. Just as before, he that dared to speak quickly became the target of the town's ire - though they became increasingly aware that their number was matched by a growing proportion of the mafia that joined in with equal gusto. Flamester spoke cryptically in his own defense, trying to persuade the mob to seize another victim, but again, the mob does not hear reason.

Even his intimation of his true goals was not enough to secure his salvation. A vote was called whose results were in no doubt.

In the end, the ballot box yielded thus:
1 ballot for /lurk
11 ballots for Flamester_

With equal hate for all meeting members, townsperson and mafia alike, Flamester ascended the steps of the gallows

"You're all idiots," he said. "Especially you."

He made brief eye contact with the man that he knew lead the mafia. If only.

Flamester_ was the Cop of the Townspeople.

He was also the Traitor, never recruited.

Night 5

Send power use and mafia hit by update time tomorrow, which is tomorrow.

Huh, I thought that might be it, but the theory was just convoluted and stupid.  Was all of that really just to knock down the townies by one person?  Tomorrow we'll have six left to their four, I guess it'll be a bit grimmer, but it's not exactly the dramatic plan he was hinting at.

Incidentally, this means we have to take down a mafia goon tomorrow, there's no margin for error.  And that means we completely ignore everything he said about lurk because that was just stupidly obvious.  Unless he was double thinking and knew that planting seeds of doubt that obviously would make the boss look MORE innocent.  But he wasn't in contact with them to set this up, so I doubt he was that clever.

And now it's possible that the other cop is innocent, so we need a way to tell the two apart.  This hasn't gotten any simpler at all!

With GD still blocking me, there's no way I'll be able to investigate tonight.

21 sure as hell is allot more suspicious at this point, if flamester failed to get a report doesnt that mean he got bounced and not 21?

though it might as well be that flamester just went nuts and didnt feel like reporting anything
