They Who Can Not be Named: Nothing is What it Seems
« on: November 16, 2010, 08:54:40 pm »
Everywhere in the Galaxy, events were simultaneously happening that were shattering the carefully constructed and maintained lives of thousands of galactic citizens; the Nameless had invaded, and soon, the whole Galaxy would be turned on its head, if it wasn't already.

And that chaos brought the prefect opportunity to take advantage of all that confusion...

Somewhere in the galaxy...

//ALERT! THIS IS THE R.I.S. {ksffszk}-aren, WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF ASSISTANCE! {ksshshshsffk} OUR REACTOR IS CRITICAL, THE {kkkflashshkk}AMELESS! WE ARE IN DANGER {zzrrrrkkkk} NAMELESS... NEED HELP... NOW!//

A garbled, foreign message radiated out through open space. With it was carried a sense of urgency that was not equaled by most cases; something very bad was happening, and people were defenseless to stop it... They needed help now, and were putting their hope in a single voice transmission though the galaxy to civilizations unknown.

Who knows what races they might attract to their aid... or demise...?

When they would arrive, they would find nothing but silence and deep space...

Or would they...?

Captain Taka ran through her ship's recent readouts for the fifth time as she sat in her station on the LKS Sari's bridge. They were detecting massive gravitational disturbances from a nearby region of space just as the Nameless' slave armies began their tour of destruction all across the galaxy.

The GPA were spread thin in this part of the galaxy, owing mainly to the sudden betrayal and attacks by the Awakened Atomna. Taka's group was only one of many which were forced to make do with what they had as they struggled to go up against the endless Nameless horde.

They had already taken out several Corrupted fleets that were wreaking havoc in this relatively seldom-traveled corner of space. Each of the rebel forces managed to vastly reduce the ranks of Taka's detachment, though still not enough to its strategic usefulness. Nevertheless, the loss of numbers was more than readily felt as scouts detected signs of nearby hostile presence..

And not just any presence...

"An Assault Node?", Taka wondered as one of her aides showed her the data gathered by reconnaissance.

It seemed like the Luzonian Knighthood was in for another pitched battle, and this time even they weren't sure if they can manage to win it, or at the very least, barely hold out.

As Taka's mind decided on what to do, an apparently urgent message reached the Sari's presence. Reading the short and gravely distorted transmission, the captain ordered the full mobilization of the entire detachment's forces as they geared for a short-distance warp towards the call's origin.
