Spore Confirmation Code
« on: October 01, 2010, 06:19:45 am »

Simply enough, I've lost the manual for spore, you know the one with the vital, important confirmation code on it -.-. Then a windows re-install meant i lost the game and the confirmation code in notepad is also gone. Just tried re-installing and no luck...

Anyone got any suggestions on how install it without the confirmation code or how to get the confirmation code from EA or the disc, something along those lines?

lost the game

About the question: No, you either ask the customer service. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Or you look up for some sort of key generator for spore. I don't even think it's that illegal, if you still have the actual game. >_>
Heh, apparently, it IS illegal. Forget everything I ever said. :P

There is, of course, a difference between having a laugh with someone, and having a laugh at their expense

Actually, using a keygen is definately illegal even if you own the game. Simply because any key you generate and use, is a key that somebody somewhere in the world will have been assigned on their manual/case. Assuming they haven't already registered and used it.

Your best option here is to contact customer support, and to sway doubts of not actually legally owning the game, take a screenshot of the case with a webcam of some kind. If you keep vital codes in a notepad document, it pays to backup that file every now and then. At least prior to a format/windows reinstall. Floppies, flash drives, even burned onto a CD. For a first post, I have to say this sounds pretty suspect. :P

Yeah dude, you're pretty much up a creek without a paddle. Keygens are illigal no matter how you look at it, and you're more likely to get a better answer from your cat, or other animal, than you are from EA customer support.
Seriously, EA customer support is so bad, I have yet to figure out why it hasn't replaced airline food yet, if you know what I mean.
