1. We need to make amends with Persia, Greece, or some other Mediterrainian state. If it comes down to it, shipping there will give us needed oil and naval power.
2. Promise China that with the money from this war, we can pay them back the money we owe them. $3,000,000,000,000 isn't really that much, right?
3. Keep pressing South America.
4. That insurgency in the northeast? Placate it with stuff.
5. Appeal to African countries. If we can get them to side with us, we'll own the southern Atlantic.
6. Turn Ireland against Brittania and Spain or Portugal against France. Ths will allow us to put naval operations in the North Atlantic.
7. Build seawalls around what we control in the Americas, and keep most of our navy in defensive positions there.
8. Increase industry on the Great Plains. Lots of space there.
9. Invest in a larger air force, including anti-aircraft weapons. This will save us from Asian or European bombers.
10. Have ourselves a soda while we're doing all this.
1) We have plenty of oil. The US is the third largest oil producer in the world, and Mexico, Canada, and Venezuala are top producers as well.
2) Its a war involving the U.S. versus the rest of the world. No country as large as China is going to switch sides. Besides, they probably had a very good reason to ally with the world in the first place.
3) This.
4) Details? I'd recommend large amounts of propaganda. Uncle Sam, The Statue of Liberty, the portrayal of the U.S.'s past enemies such as Russia and Britain leading the alliance, and possibly even accusations of corrupt government should do the trick nicely.
5) Most African countries are poor, with the possible exceptions of South Africa and Rwanda by this time period. They aren't any threat to us.
6) How would you propose to do that? All of those countries possess similar cultures, and have been either allies or neutral for over a century, with the possible exception of fascist Spain.
7) Seawalls? Really? That would take a colossal amount of money to build and maintain a seawall covering an entire continent. Anyways, a naval force is unlikely at this point. At the moment we have to be wary of a land invasion originating in South America.
8) The great plains are the breadbasket of North America, the source of much, if not the vast majority, of our food supply. Industrializing there is a bad idea. Do industrialize Mexico and the Mesoamerican states we've conquered, though.
9) We already have a sizable air force, by far the largest in the world I do believe. We need to focus on naval forces, boats not planes are needed to move armies.
What we need to do is to protect against any potential land invasion. The world will most likely concentrate on building up a sizable force in South America, then moving toward the North. Focus all offensive forces there.
Um Portugal was never mad at France. It was mad at Spain.
That was a long, long time ago.
