Quick question. Although there were only a limited number of gods to choose from, will the other gods be present? For example, there seems to be struggles between several of the gods we were allowed to choose from against those that we weren't allowed to choose from, which creates some interesting backstory. I don't really know why they would be included, I'm just wondering if they are though.

Could be they're not old enough?

Also, how would the process of creating specific creatures or monsters work?  It isn't really mentioned in the PDF.  Or are we just going to not allow for that?

Also, reading through some lore, Valian is my hero.  He reminds me at least personality wise of a DnD character I made a little while back.

God I can't wait for us to get started.  I've got all sorts of ideas running though my head now.

Oh i recommend that all you newbies read up a bit about the lore. Both as inspiration and as a way to see what has been done. Also helps when it comes to understanding the deity you have chosen.

I was told that there would be no need to read any of the old stuff since this was the creation of a whole new world. They said that the short description in the god list was all I'd have to abide by.

you dont need to read anything, yokto is just advertising, although it might help a bit i guess...

and its not a whole new world, its a continent of the world that we already have, an unexplored continent.

Think of reading the lore as an extra credit assignment Pat.

A few gods were excluded simply because they are too old and/or powerful (Vatkir, Iolar, Thysellia) some were excluded because their influence is too broad to pin down to any specific races or cults (For example Roedor is the god who gave mortals the secret of technology, so any mortal race which uses technology beyond the most primitive level will have some reverence for him), and some were excluded because their scope is too narrow or they aren't concerned with the material plane (Mang and Albatross simply wander the planes, Noelan takes a passive role in history, Kharrgan only cares about destruction, etc)
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

The results are in and the following gods have been assigned to these players:

Brandonazz: Shub
Celdur: Imornouz
Darth Grievi: Ral-Ral
Daxx: Innichanne
Josasa: Morna Vaurer Indrus (fringe substitution)
Krakow Sam: Nahequi
Martyk: Rahdin
Mr Wizard: Hanafuss (how does he know what angel to use?)
Neoadept: Valian
Patman33: Baloria
Yokto: Ashra
Yossitaru: Galep

Apologies to anyone who didn't get their first or second choice. You may negotiate to swap gods with another player while we're still in the first age, or contact me and/or Mr Wizard and we may be able to let you play as one of the more borderline gods which we considered and didn't make the final cut.

I had a feeling Neo would take Valian from me.  Ah well, lots of fun will be had with Rahdin.  I'm surprised so few people were interested in him.

More like three people, which is more than some other gods got.

I know, but 3 is also less than most.  Vilian was just between me and Neo though I think.

Also, quick querry.  When we're editing the game map, should we be editing whoever posted the last change, or editing from the beginning of the round and then letting Wizard merge the changes.

Also, my last question about creatures.  That just became a lot more relevant for me.

Oh, you mean like non-sentient monsters and such?

Hmm, not sure. Anyone got some ideas on how it could work?
