Miner's War is an up and coming new game from the indie games developer Keen Software House Ltd. Its a sci-fi spaceship game, with several interesting features. It is currently in Closed Beta, with access being via medals, which will be described later on.

The game takes place in a indeterminate date, when space travel is easy and cheap, as are the bullets for your Vulcan cannon. Among the features the game boasts, are dynamic destructible environment, where damage you do to the environment stays there, not moving until you or someone else messes with it. Asteroids and other space debris are huge, and can be up to 10km wide.

Official Backstory:
Code: [Select]
Earth was once a pale, blue dot. And now it is only a scar. Mankind faces its worst nightmare since the dawn of civilization. Extinction.

Many years ago, for reasons unknown to us, the star which gave us life began to take it away. Massive waves of solar energy engulfed the planet... over... and over again....

And how did we handle this turn of fate? Did we band together? Did we share in our predicament? No. We waged war upon our brothers, bitterly and without conscience, until we had frittered and wasted nearly every resource on this forsaken planet.

However, with the possibility of total annihilation becoming very real, we finally put aside our differences and began to form what is known today as the United Nations of Planet Earth. Despite this call to unification, the war is far from over. In space, there is no governing law, no enclave of peace and prosperity. Only the fight for survival and dominance over a vast sea of floating rock.

We must find our path... or suffer at the whims of the “vast”.

-----

Tensions are high, something must be done, the time has come! Reach to the skies, explore the wonders of the solar system and harvest its resources to bring life to your dying world.

The single-player campaign will be played through the eyes of Apollo, a freelance pilot. After the death of his father, he has joined his older brother Marcus, leaving his home to try his luck in this harsh place. This is the new wild-west. Early space-mining and exploration lead many low-life criminals, political extremists, and religious fanatics into the vast reaches of space. Your job is simple: make some money and earn a good living, and don't die in the process. Become a bounty hunter, assassin, pirate, privateer, policeman, miner, explorer or a military officer. The freedom of choice is there and its up to you to decide which path you shall take.

Refferals and Medals:

As mentioned, the game is currently in closed beta, this means only a select few are allowed in. However, recently a new system based on medals was introduced, where anyone with a medal would recieve entrance to the Closed Beta. This was based off of refferals links, where if 250 unique visitors clicked through on your link, you would gain Level 1 access, which allows you to play the game during the Beta Stages. Level 2, which is at a much higher level of unique visitors, gives you a free license of the game. Level 3, the final level, is at a staggering 5000 unique visitors, and will, well, I'll let the official words describe it.
"Level 3 medal will grant you an exclusive access to the unreleased game content and a much deeper possibility to be a part of the development process itself. And of course the goodies of level 1 and 2. "

To help everyone possible to get into the Closed Beta and aid what is an interesting and promising game, we will be making a chain list, essentially containing referral links of everyone who submits theirs here. HOWEVER, this system does require that you actually click through, so please, click through as many referrals as you can stand before asking to be added to the list.

Person21 - As enjoyed by Veraal.
A wise Surface to Air Missile once said about marrying 9 year olds in Saudi Arabia "Its pretty hard to tell if a 9 year old is going to be hot when she grows up, kids change a lot, usually, seems like a bad system. That cute little nine year old you married could end being a fat, zitty teenager."
