Yes, let me know what you think. Sorry if I was a bit rusty (I could FEEL the rust when I was doing the podcast) and I might have rambled way more than I normally do, but I believe the main theme of what I thought of the show so far was in there.

I can agree with Steve for most of what E3 was. I have never been this bored watching shooter game after shooter game. And even games that are not shooter game still look ascetically like a shooter game. None of them are distinguishable from each other from the surface.
Nintendo knows how to make games that pop out.

I feel the same way, Steve. Always looking for something new and exciting. Yeah, it's cool to see a series you enjoy continue on for another installment, but there's immense ground we've never covered before. I still really want a goddamn caveman game... I miss you, BC. EDIT: Looking forward to Dead Rising 2. Gonna get the PC version I figure and play it with some bros.

Good podcast, Steve! Little rusty but still better than most everything else.
Since the keynote speeches are all I really have to go on, I've gotta disagree with you on Sony. I thought their presentation was really good... but Nintendo's was just out of the park. And Microsoft... it was okay. But to hear that the demos were faked is very irritating. Any chance you'll get to look at Deus Ex 3?
**EDIT** And do I sense a little anger toward the end there at gaming journalism? Stick it to them, Steve.

The problem with the Sony press conference is that there was nothing truly exciting and new. Everyone knew Move was coming, all their titles were known or leaked already, and it seemed a bit disjointed to me.
I just don't understand what their "future vision" for Sony and PlayStation brand is going to be. First it was going to be amazing graphics and the most horsepower, but that isn't selling games/consoles, so then it BluRay, and then it was Home, and now it's Move.... You get the point, every single time I hear something from Sony they are changing the message and they are losing their way because they can't figure out what they want to do.
Actually the real problem is that they banked the PS3 to win because of amazing graphics and their name alone, and now that they aren't winning they don't have a true backup plan and are instead throwing anything and everything at the consumer hoping that something will stick. When in reality ... IT'S THE GAMES STUPID!!! Make good games and people will buy your machine. That's it. It's just that simple.
But the number of truly original titles is too small to make Sony stand out.
Nintendo has Mario, Zelda, Metroid and like a million others. Xbox has Halo and now Gears of War. Sony has ... what exactly? Uncharted is a step in the right direction, but otherwise they don't have a solid title that you associate with Sony and the PS. I would say BluRay is the closest they have to an identity, and BluRay is a pretty boring game to play.
Sony has no true identity and it's killing them...

I liked how Sony were making this big thing in their new marketing drive about having that PSP Metal gear exclusive when Microsoft and Nintendo had already announced their own Metal gear exclusives for the 360 and the 3DS.

I loooove Kevin Butler. Not sure how well bashing the competition is working out for them, but it sure is fun. SEGA's old commercials are pretty cool, even if I don't agree with them. MODE 7 4 LIFE!

that was a great podcast, and i actually kinda like when you ramble, because your ramblings sound interesting. like one time you were rambling about how Nintendo and Microsoft were fighting on what happens to golden eye. also, i've noticed you sound a whole lot like sean malstrom (aka you make sense). have you ever seen any of his postings? http://seanmalstrom.wordpress.com/

Yeah I to am a man who enjoys the ramble. I the person who sits and watches Spoony's hour long Vlogs where he gos on about what ever movie he has to dump some hate on or when he feels the need to vent on whats happening in TNA. Same with Steve's podcasts I'd put them on my Ipod listen all day to Steve give in depth anaylsis of the industry. Rant away Steve it's one of the best parts of your podcasts.
Now only if it wasn't posted at like 2am now I have to wait until I get home from work to listen.
