The Knight of Vengeance

In the empty void between the stars, the fabric of space time tore a hole in itself. For a micro second, the middle of the tear bridged reality with itself… one place existing two places at once!

Reality itself cried out against this violation of its order and lashed out against this blasphemy with all its might. Lightning streaked in all directions as fiery flares of plasma roared in righteous fury.

And as quickly as it had begun; so it ended. The tear closed and the hellish energy dissipated into the cold space, leaving only a ship with flaring shields.

Inside, sitting quite calmly, sat the being that had just violated the order of the universe, surveying the unfamiliar stars, with a cold gaze from his photonic receptor.

‘So this is home? I wonder… how many people will I have to kill here?’ He mused morbidly to himself, as he always did when arriving in a new place.

‘As many as I have to!’

Verys looked around the lonely bridge of his ship, stretched himself lazily before deciding to report his arrival to fleet command back on Void.

Void… His home was now so very far away. Infinity separated him from his people and his family, his wife and daughter.

But a wretched sinner as him could not afford to hope for a happier life.
What he had done and what he would do, made him what he was… A Demon; for that was what the Empire needed him to be!

“Protect Life and Freedom!” Verys told himself as he read his orders.

“And destroy those who get in the way!”

Meanwhile…

Core Combine Inner Worlds: Felron

Felron… it had been hit hard recently during the first contact war. But iron will, fierce determination, and a single-minded goal had brought it back to full efficiency, granted, certain systems where still minimally damaged but it was only a matter of time before those minor scratches where brushed off, barely even a sign that they where even there.

Felron: Central War Hall

Deep underground, past miles after miles of tunnel networks and bunkers laid the war hall, inside countless Skrall commanders where milling about doing day to day task, cataloging new conquered worlds, enslaved species, as well as regulating data to its proper locations, all was going smoothly until a certain anomaly was detected.

//ALERT ALERT ALERT: ANOMOLLY DETECTED: MASSIVE POWER SURGE DEVELOPMENT NEAR SECTOR 58!//

//TRANSMISSION DETECTED//

This is the Imperial Wexxian Battleship VINDICATOR, Captain Verys Speaking…

As of this moment, this Galaxy is considered a Protectorate of the Tri-Wexxian Empire.

One of the Skrall inside the war hall looked up questionably, dumbfounded by the transmission.

“Wexxian? IMPOSSIBLE!”

Another Skrall took a more analytical approach to it…

“Wexxian: Searching-Scanning-Cross Referencing. Scanning Galactic historical files: Found! Wexxian: Ancient Automaton of the old galaxy. ERROR: Wexxians abandoned this galaxy long ago: Conclusion: IMPPOSIBLE.”

“Course of action?”

“Send a Gonorak probe to scan. We must get to the bottom of this.”

“Redirect the nearest battle fleet to the sector. Prepare for confrontation."

"Inform a speaker quickly!" Another Skrall chimed in. "The Overlords must hear of this!"

Open Space

In response to the massive reality bending anomaly a smaller one took place soon after, space shimmered and warped as a small Combine probe appeared, if these where truly Wexxian they were dealing with than this would have to be done carefully. With the Wexxian ship now in the probes sights the Core opened a channel.

//Unidentified vessel, power down and await boarding craft, Skrallification and interrogation procedures will proceed shortly.// The alien spoke with a harsh electronic voice, it pitch alternating between high and low as it spoke.

A short distance away the Core battle fleet loomed, intending to jump in and strike should things turn ugly. (Which may be very likely)

Verys considered the probe that was approaching with a mixture of amusement and indignation.

Honestly, they could at least send a warship to empathize their point… it didn’t even look like they were TRYING to scare him… a little effort would have been nice!

"Sir, wide-band broadcast incomming!" came the voice of the communications officer on deck.

"Well, patch it through." droned Captain Sisik Terel in a monotone voice expressing his supreme boredom.  "Let's see what we've got this time."

Its understandable that he would be bored.  His small patrol fleet had been drifting aimlessly around the borders of Kratairian space.  Not that there was much to defend.  It was simply a show of power, a way of denoting what was theirs, empty as the void was.

His was suddenly snapped to attention as the message came through,

The Wexxians?  They had returned?  Well this certainly was a surprise, and a pleasent one at that.  He quickly arranged for the message to be rebroadcast towards the home fleet, as well as indicating his intentions to divert the patrol to greet the returning Wexxian ship.  And with that, a section of space dissapeared, the small Kratairian fleet with it.

Moments later a short ways from the Wexxian vessel, a section of space seemed to shimmer for a moment.  Suddenly, there were Kratairian ships there where there hadn't been moments before.  Activating communications, the Captain broadcast a simple message to the visitors.

The Core did not respond back. It was over, negotiations terminated. If Captain Verys was intending to taunt the Core, which he was obviously doing, he succeeded with flying colors. Once again a distortion in space appeared, but this time the energy reading where much higher. The first ship that appeared was a gargantuan Core Combine dreadnaught every battle fleet had at least one or two of them for when the big guns where needed. The second the dreadnaught was settle in the rest of the Core battle fleet made its self known. If there were two things the Core believed in it was “bigger was better.”  And “quantity has a quality all its own.” Surrounding the dreadnaught and carriers was a small swarm of battleships and surrounding them was an almost uncountable swarm of expendable destroyers and frigates. If Wexxians were asking for a show of force from the Combine then they were going to get it a thousand-fold.

Dreadnaught Bridge

Several Skrall, all connected to the hive network allowing instantaneous command and communication with their ships and crew, sat on the bridge, either floating on gravity platforms or wearing  power armor, the slug like creatures discussed what to do about this…

“Course of action Warlord?”

“Ready all missile bays, all batteries open fi-” The Skrall was interrupted when another Skrall suddenly chimed in.

“Warlord! A new fleet has appeared! It appears to be of Kratairian origin.”

“Open a channel! They will not interfere!”

Seconds later a channel opened up to the Kratarian fleet, the harsh electronic voice of the cyborg alien was hardly pleasant.

“Warning: The Wexxian battleship designated the “VINDICATOR” has threatened to attempt hostilities against the Core Combine, we will respond in kind and you will NOT interfere!”

The Core was indeed not joking, already readings could be detected that suggested the Core ships where already powering up their weapons.

Verys grinned at the assembled Core Combine Fleet… this looked like it might be entertaining!

“Should I disengage the locks of the T-4 systems, Commander?” The shipboard AI requested.

“No, that shouldn’t be necessary. This is only an evaluation after all.” Verys replied.

//
Thank you Captain Terel. Your gesture of greetings is appreciated.

Unfortunately my mission is not of a diplomatic nature. I’m here to ensure that this galaxy’s defensive capabilities are ready for a possible invasion.
I will personally evaluate the native military powers and see if they can measure up to the Empire’s strict standards.

As a matter of fact, the fleet you see here is about to be evaluated. I trust that you will not interfere of course. I shall submit a request to your military once I am done with this lot.
See ya!
//

The smallish (1km. Small compared to most Wexxian Ships) Destroyer turned and advanced on the looming Core Combine Armada.

//
You people don’t disappoint. You didn’t even let me have to wait for long. Full Marks so far!
So, how is the traditional way to start combat in this galaxy. Do you want me to give you a head start because you are the first to be evaluated? If so, then why not make it interesting. How about a bet?

Oh and introductions, of course!
I Am Commander Verys Deleros-Enerva-02-3. First Knight of the Lady of Vengeance. Proud Servant of the Tri-Wexxian Empire and Her Nations.

Verys orders were not exactly that he should evaluate through combat. But he was a practical machine… this was not to be taken lightly, so he’d make sure they could take it.

“Computer, play something. I think Torpalian Heavy Metal would suit these guys well!”

‘So, the violence begins!’

The ASC Resolute was a part of the latest generation of Austian war carriers. It was quite plainly a monster of a ship, housing a good 2000 fighters with matching pilots, with about half as many heavy bombers housed there as well. As is standard with any Austian ship, all of it's workforce were either trained marines, marines in training or marines training other marines; the guy who fixed the BSODs was also a 5 year Commando a quarter way through his service. This wasn't the case with all Austian ships, of course, but the Resolute was built as an example of the might of the Austian fleet; naturally only the cream of the crop were entrusted with running it.

Size-wise it wasn't as formidable as some of the coalition made dreadnoughts, but it was a hellish beast when it comes to manueverability, getting in close within seconds and swarming weak spots. In most similations, it was equal to any other landmark space fighter, the winner was therefore the most talented, intellegent and lucky Captian in the fight. So, Captian Vaater had a huge responsibility on his hands.

Once again the Core did not respond to the Wexxian transmission, once negotiations were terminated all bets where off, no more talking, all business. The Core fleet where in battle formation, all weapons readied and primed.

“Core Combine fleet in battle formation Warlord. Orders?”

“Forward units, launched all gravity warp missile salvos, that should be far more than sufficient for a ship of that size, but if it is somehow still functioning then move in and finish it off!” The alien warlord replied “I want that ship wiped from existence!”

“There will be no attempts to disable and board the ship Warlord?”

"Only if it become practical."

Seconds later the missiles were fired, multiple blue stream streaked through the vacuum of space, when they impacted they would create an unstable, rapidly shifting, gravity field. These where not warning shots, the Core was shooting to kill. As soon as said missiles were fired more of the Core ships began to move in, firing off heat rays, graviton bolts and gravitic rail guns as they got in range, obviously overkill perhaps for only one small ship, but the warlord obviously wasn’t taking chances.

Verys was not bothered in the slightest by the silence of the Core fleet. Nor by the sight of the incoming missiles. It would be only fair to let them have their first shoot.

The missiles impacted on the Vindicator’s shields. Warping the gravity around the ship. However, the Vindicator was not swayed so easily. Resting defiantly within its own bubble of normalized true-space.

Making sure to add extra credit, for the use of Graviton Technology in battle. Verys canceled the surrounding effects as they where interfering with his analysis of the other weaponry that where now raining down on his shield.

The graviton bolts and rail guns earned decent points too.
Next to test their speed and maneuverability.

The small Wexxian ship powered up its Inertia Drive and accelerated faster than a MAC projectile. Past the oncoming armada with 50% of the speed of light. Coming to a sudden stop behind the Core.

Elsewhere...

Shanara paced around the palace's throne room, unable to ease himself due to the turmoil that erupted within the GPA and the related civil war within the USSS. And all of it happening just days after that one person disappeared without a trace.

"Ugh, what do we now?", the Orealyianis prince slumped with a shrug into the set of steps that lead to the ornate seat which served as the centerpiece of the entire chamber. "If things go on like this, it'll be the Milika-Supara War all over again.", he said while unenthusiastically raising his head to meet with the one sitting on the throne.

"It is their own choice, the fault lies not on others such as yourself.", the seat's occupant encouraged him. "You're probably thinking that something's just not right within the PSR's government. I just want you to know that I also feel the same way, as well as everyone else."

The figure on the throne stood up and offered his hands to the slouching admiral, "As a king, it's my job to help you out. And if there's one thing I'm good at, it's being determined to do what I must." He then smiled at him with both hands as he clasped one of Shanara's, "Likewise, the rest of your family, your friends, your crew, your ships, your people and everyone else in this galaxy that wants to end this conflict, they're also watching your back for you. Isn't it about time you do the same thing for them, like you always have?"

As his words resonated with Shanara's emotions, the admiral rose from place with his help. Trembling slightly, he returned to his normal self as he absorbed the meaning within the monarch's advice. "Foriza...", he said with renewed strength of heart.

"Now go.", he replied. "I'm sure our brother Folizi has his reasons.", the king sent him off.

Folizi has his reasons, I'm sure of it.

And if I know anything about him, it's usually very good.

Alone once again, he returned to his throne as he checked his schedule for later in the morning. It was apparently filled to the brim due to the issues that current plagued the GPA, and to a lesser extent, the USSS. He didn't have much time to mope about it, however, as he would soon come face to face with a very startling news.

Just as the king's back finally rested on the throne, the doors were bombarded with a massive barrage of strong and hurried knocks. "YOUR MAJESTY! YOUR MAJESTY!", the messenger words roared with great urgency.

"Luza-", the king tried to answer back after recognizing the person's voice. He was cut off, however, when the young apprentice revealed the exact nature of the sudden development.

"THE WEXXIANS HAVE RETURNED!"

The king sprang from his seat and leaped towards the doors before casting them to the sides and grabbing the other Orealyianis by the shoulder. "Luzanara.", the monarch's grip began to tighten. "Is this true?"

"Y-y-yes...", the apprentice answered timidly. "Your Majesty?"

"Pack your things, inform Shanara and ready the entire First Fleet.", Foriza answered with a sense of authority.

"Yes, your Majesty."

Captain Terel's eyes widened slightly in surprise at the Wexxian's message.  A test?  This seemed an odd play for them, but so be it.  The Kratair were among the most powerful naval forces in the galaxy, and if the Wexxian's wanted a test of their resolve, they would have it.  The message was forwarded back to central command as the scouting fleet watched the Wexxian ship engage the Combine.

Moments later, an Orealyanis ship arrived, with a fleet no doubt not far behind.  Not wanting to be distracted from the events happening before him, the Captain had a transcript of the transmissions between the Wexxian ship and their own forwarded to the newcommer.

"Finally ones who think with flare, nothing like the weaklings we've observed aside from the Core." Supreme Admiral Vor'Das observed after hearing of the news about the Wexxians. Unlike what was happening up until now, he was intensely intrigued by this event, as were a majority of the operators and admirals in the room as well. "They have a very long history in the ancient galactic community, do they not?" Said Admiral Hetakas, another high-ranking individual in the military. "Very intriguing.... I want a full standard stellar war compliment converging on their location as soon as the coast is clear. We have to, of course, say hello..." Vor'Das said. He had some plans in mind.

Deep within the cavern complexes of Brithora, orders were dispatched to the many dispersed patrol fleets meant to lure the rest of the galactic community to the Riether, this test would be MUCH more interesting than the rest of the majorly pacifistic galaxy would provide.

"And how are repairs on the RIS Dakara going? I want to be there personally for this little 'exchange'..."
"I, too, would like to be present for this evaluation. Would You do me the honor of allowing me to take the Riether Imperial Ship Ri's compliment as well?" Hetakas spoke up again.
"Yes, I think we may need your superior tactical abilities, Hetakas."

"In the meantime, send a probe to spy on them a little, I'd like a visual feed." Vor'Das said. This was extremely exciting, and most in the room would probably be watching the main probe feed like a Sunday football game.

Meanwhile...

Foriza, Shanara and Luzanara were firmly nestled in their stations within the Vara Orealyianis' main bridge as the massive construct, along with the rest of the First Fleet, shot through the vastness of space on their way to the Wexxian presence.

Luzanara looked on as his master read through the transmission relayed to them by the Fortitude. The king was rather surprised at the discrepancy between the returner's odd way of dealing with things and the records regarding its Pre-Exodus counterparts. Foriza smiled as he realized what was going on between the Combine and the Tri-Wexxian vessel.

"I have a feeling these 'Tri-Wexxians' have already encountered a certain notorious civilization.", he chortled. "How rather timely, don't you think?", he said to his apprentice with a light grin on his two arms.

"Master?", Luzanara asked, bewildered.

"Soon enough...", he answered back. "You'll see soon enough..."

From across the chamber,  Shanara's voice can be heard as he looked at the pair, asking the monarch about their next course of action.

"Take care of Luzanara for a while!", Foriza jovially replied. "I'm heading up!"

Open Space

It was as if a field of stars suddenly came into existence as a large shower of Orealyianis signature bombarded nearby sensors. The First Fleet has officially arrived at the point of meeting, right beside the Kratair's own formation. As the fleet settled down, the Vara Orealyianis' mechanical joints quickly whirred to life, fulfilling its pilot's intention of revealing its original form.

News spread quickly through the vast galaxy. So quickly that it was only a matter of a few hours that the message reached the FKS Khuris, the current seat of power for the United Federation. Before it could even be distributed through the ship's information network, though, two small Korolon class General Purpose Corvettes were already on their way to the site of the so-called "Second Contact". They were completely unremarkable save for the lead ship, which had a massive sensor pod affixed to the bottom of it and the Khuris World News Network (KWNN) logo emblazoned on its Karven Field drive fins. One could guess what they were doing; this was a major detail they could get a big scoop of report out of.

"Haha, here we are! WOW! Are you getting this on the feed? No? Then activate the cameras, dummies!" Khavek Jhalkitna said excitedly. If you haven't heard of Khavek Jhalkitna, you're living under a rock, because he's the top reporter of one of the largest News Networks in the Galaxy. Anyway, the two tiny ships emerged directly in the middle of the Orealyianis Fleet, and compared to the gigantic ships stationed around them, the reporter crafts were like specs of dust.

"We're on? Kay, Hello, Khavek Jhalkitna here, your reporter for the Khuris World News Network, and have I got a report for you! Many of you folks may have heard of the Wexxians in history texts, right? Well I'll tell you we and this huge Orealyianis fleet here have gone back in time, because what you see right, there..." He pointed to the shot of the Wexxian ship as it zoomed in of the screen behind him, "Is a  genuine Wexxian... or Tri-Wexxian, battleship. And those," The screen panned over to the flashes of light that were the Core Combine ships, " Are the Core Combine attacking them. Not quite as mean as they were made up to be, eh? Apparently the Wex-... Er, Tri-Wexxians, have issued a challenge to the galactic militaries abroad to a test of their abilities, and THAT'S What you'll be seeing today! For those of you that haven't heard about the Core Combine, they..." The Report continued on, broadcasting an incredibly strong signal to the entire Federation and USSS, as well as relaying to multiple ofther networks around the Galaxy. Whoever hadn't heard about this event would most certainly hear about it now...

(OOC: I have made a quick pic for the first post, I hope you like it even though its rough.

I consider starting a new Wexxian thread since a lot has changed with them in the last century or so. I realize that the Tri-Wexxian thing is confusing too. So I'll just explain real quick.

The Empire consist of three joined nations:

The Robotic/Synthetic Wexxians (the Originals)
The S’etskarp Wexxians (the creators of the Synthetics) and;
The Soahc Wexxians (My 'Unknown' species)

Those are the main powers in the Empire. there are also WAY too many Protectorates, Dependencies and Annexed Territories to list.
In full the Wexxian Empire has roughly control of 64% percent of their galaxy.  While the rest is divided up between the Targ S’etskarp Remnant, the Proud Soahc Legions and various other independent nations.

SORRY!  :o Didn't mean to spout random information in an RP thread, just thought I would post my picture and I got carried away like I always do!)  ::)

(OOC: Pics are always welcome! Oh, and yeah, a new thread would probably be nice. :))

Not far from where the Orealyianis and Kratair stood, several flashes of light, similar to the previous ones, made themselves apparent to the two observing fleets as a plethora of different navies joined in on the event. Most noticeable were the major members of the SPA which have each sent a fleet's worth of their very best. Ever since their respective first contacts with the Orealyianis, they have heard many stories of worlds far beyond the galaxy, and so such an event wasn't much of a surprise for them. This didn't take away any tension that they were currently feeling, however, as they watched the lone Tri-Wexxian do "battle" against an entire Combine war fleet, and in such an awe-inspiring manner at that.

“EVADE EVADE EVADE!!!”

The Wexxian ship did not seem to be on a collision course with any of Core ships but it was coming dangerously close.

“Status?” The warlord bellowed

“Collision averted but that was likely not their intention.”

“Where is that…” the slug paused for a bit before the ships detection equipment located it “There behind us!”

The Core was definitely not expecting a maneuver like that, but it was hardly going to daunt them as the fleet began to turn to face them, the frigates and destroyers proved themselves highly maneuverable easily making a U-turn to pursue the Wexxian ship, the dreadnaught on the other hand was not a ship that you could just turn around on the fly.

“All carriers launch fighter craft, target the ship and harass it, all other ships continue pursuit.”

“Warlord! Weapons seem to be having little to no affect!”

“Move the dreadnaught into position! Prepare to target them with the gravity beam.”

“Transmission incoming!”

//
I have a question; one that you MUST answer, if you wish for me to take you seriously.

Because, it is the most important and fundamental question for any warrior.

Why do you fight?
//

There was nothing but more silence from the Combine fleet, but… for perhaps a few seconds, all of the shooting stopped, but soon resumed... still… Verys may not realize immediately the effects of the question he had just asked…

As ordered by the warlord the Core’s carriers released their fighters while their frigates and destroyers continued their pursuit, but most importantly the dreadnaught was now approaching, the gargantuan ship unleashing countless weapons, its true goal however, was to get in range and use its gravity beam.

((Also thank you Jack, you have now inspired me to continue working on my Core Combine history, which ties into why they fight and why they are such pricks.))

Verys was impressed. These Core Combine showed some promise... even if their social skills seemed to be lacking.

'Two things left to test... I need them to answer the question... and that dreadnoughts main weapon!'

The Vindicator swung around the Core Fleet once again, coming to a stop right in front of the larger ship.

Verys walked out of the bridge airlock and onto the hull of the Wexxian Destroyer.
Standing before the might of the Combine, he crossed his arms and raised his head.

All the Wexxian got from the Combine fleet was nothing but more silence, almost like they were deliberately ignoring him.

The dreadnaught wasted no time activating its gravity beam, the weapon at first it seems to be a simple tractor beam, at least until the polarity begins to shift at such a rapid rate that the ship is practically scrambled like an egg, combine that with the Core dreadnaughts gargantuan size and thus the size of the weapon its self then you had a device capable of eating medium to medium large ships for breakfast and easily crippling capital ships. The weapon its self was simple but the way it was utilized made it effective.

Time and space rippled across the void between the ships.

Gravity itself tried to tear apart the Vindicator, making it crumple into dust... and had it not been a Wexxian ship, then it would.

Vindicators computer core modified the internal gravitation controls, drawing power from the Zero-Point generator, the ship cancelled the localised effect. When it came to graviton manipulation, the Wexxians had mastered its secrets a long time ago.

{Commander, the Dreadnought's main weapon has been analysed. Gravity Disruption on a impressive scale. The Grav-Nodes are cancelling the effect, but we can no longer utilise our Zip-Drive or jump to hyperspace while targeted!} The Computer informed Verys.

"Interesting, I haven't seen this level of strength since the last Slave Invasion."

Verys launched himself of the ship, drifting for a second in the endless emptiness of space.

'This is true freedom!' Verys thought before engaging his thrusters and rocketing toward the Dreadnought Bridge.

Fire glittered in his sensors, this was going to be very interesting. These Tech-3 beings had impaired an Imperial Destroyer with their weapons... that was to be respected and honoured.

In a nearby system, the Photos Empire was establishing an outpost. It was almost complete, and had little left to do. The commanding officer of the outpost was one Qal'va Ku'kali, an experienced fleet commander who switched to base commander until his legs healed, which were broken in combat. He sat in the base's control room. He was sitting in a hovering chair that acted as his mobility due to his broken legs. The Long-range Sensors had just been installed when the base picked something up.
"Sir, the sensors are picking up a large massing of ships in a system closeby. There appears to be several fleets, including a Core Combine group... and an undefined energy signature." Said the sensor operator, not even looking away from the screen. Qal'va turned to face her.
"Don't you mean, unidentified?" He asked.
"No, sir, undefined. Unidentified signatures have not been encountered before. When it's undefined, the database registers having encoutered the signature before, but not having a name or information." The sensor operator explained.
"Ok, that's a new one on me." The commander said. He activated the intercom link on his chair. "All combat ships, prepare to head to this system." He said, feeding the systems coordinates to the ships. He made speed to the Timeless, the ship he commanded, and they set off. One of the crewmembers approached him.
"Are you sure that is's a smart move to do this in your current state? After all, you were taken off this job for a reason..." The crewmember asked him.
"Aww, what's gonna happen? We're one of the galactic superpowers! Who in their right mind would pick a fight with us?" The commander said.
"Just don't get to overly confident in that thinking, sir." The crewman said, with a smile. The ship jumped into warp for a few minutes, and dropped out right at the scene of this mass of ships.
"Woah," said Qal'va. "That's more than it looked like!"

Chapter 2. The Lord, the Sword and the Crown.

Verys blazed through the void, towards the Combine Dreadnought. With a explosion of resonating energy, he collided with the Dreadnoughts shield and started tearing his way through.

//I TOLD YA I WOULD COME, YOU BASTARDS! YOU WILL ANSWER MY QUESTION! //

With a burst of energy, Verys’ claws began breaking through the shield. Nothing was going to keep Verys from reaching his goal… Well, almost nothing!

//ENOUGH! ALL PARTICIPANTS; STAND DOWN! //

Verys froze.

‘Oh snap!’

Above him, the empty space was suddenly no longer so empty.

A great rift was torn in the fabric of space, twenty or so Wexxian Destroyers where emerging from the rift, some of them clear white with nothing but the Wexxian Fleet Insignia, others with elaborate patterns depicting flames, swords, axes, spears, demons and other mythological beings. One thing they all had in common… on all of them; in Basic and Karpo where written:

TWE-RRF-0047.

Lastly was a Wexxian Champion Battlecruiser, proudly displaying the name ‘Lord of the Infinite’ on its sides. Making no doubt that this was the flagship of this fleet.

//Commander Verys, what are you doing? // A growling voice sounded over the com-channel.

//Evaluating the native military forces, sir! // Verys replied, snapping into military mode.

//Evaluating? You will return to your ship immediately and get back in formation, I expect a full debriefing later. //

//Yes, Sir! //

Obediently, Verys disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared on his bridge. The Vindicator swung around and joined the rear guard of the Wexxian fleet.

The Champion Cruiser sent out a broadband transmission showing a reptilian being in a jet black uniform, standing at attention on the Champion’s Bridge. Behind him several beings of different species, wearing similar black uniforms, where busy working the ships systems.

// Greetings I am Garezz, Captain of the Lord of the Infinite and Commander of the 47’Th Imperial Rapid-Response Fleet; the Knights of Vengeance!

*Captain Garezz saluted crisply*

I beg your pardon for the actions of my Knight Verys, he was not ordered to engage in combat, the Tri-Wexxian Empire will of course compensate you suitably for this inconvenience if you should wish it.

Can I assume that Commander Verys has already told you all the details of our mission here? //

Uh-huh...

"Mission?", the Orealyianis king wondered. Introducing himself, he quickly sought for some much needed enlightenment regarding the situation.

//Greetings and welcome, Captain Garezz. This is King Foriza Kazamadariya of the Orealyianis Monarchy, stationed in this galaxy by the Ariadnian Government.

There seems to be an assessment of the galaxy's defensive capabilities, from what we've gathered from the good commander. Elaboration on the matter would be greatly appreciated, dear commander.//

Garezz once again saluted crisply. The Orealyianis Monarchy was the representatives of the Terran Resistance in this galaxy; the Wexxian Empire was itself a junior member of this Resistance. That meant that the Orealyian Monarch was, in point of fact; Garezz’s superior.

// Evaluating the local military is part of our mission, but there is more to it than that.

As a representative of the Ariadnian Government, this is your jurisdictional area and as so; I and my Knights are of course under your authority and will remain thus as long as we are in this galaxy. I will of course need to verify your identity first of course!

If you would join me on the Infinite, I could explain the full details of our mission in person. //

So there really is much more to this operation...

//Much obliged, good commander. I will be there shortly.//

With a slight bow, the monarch turned towards the central levitator leading towards the royal hangar. As Folizi rose up into the chamber above, Shanara took over command of the Vara Orealyianis while the monarch prepared to embark on his personal vessel.

Moments later, the king was already making his way to the Infinite's bridge to meet with the commander face to face. He was sincerely hoping the real situation wasn't serious enough to warrant TIER's deployment. Such an endeavor might further strain the already failing political balance between the galaxy's major powers. Still, this won't be the first time his hopes for galactic stability decided to fail him.

Arriving at the bridge, he took a deep breath, bracing himself for what he might find out from the commander's revelation.

“Officer on deck!”

A resounding ‘Clang’ resonated through the Bridge, as every being in a uniform rose and stood at attention, at the arrival of King Foriza Kazamadariya. The only ones who didn’t where a S’etskarp in a grayish brown cloak, sitting in a chair near the captain and what appeared to be a Robotic repairman in the middle of his work. They both waved at the newcomer.

Garezz turned from the captain’s podium as everyone returned to their assigned duties.

“Your Highness, welcome aboard the Lord of the Infinite.”

He snapped his fingers and hologram displaying the local galaxy cluster appeared in the air above them.

“I shall attempt to be brief. This is here!” he said highlighting one of the spiral galaxies with green. “The galaxy known to the Wexxians; as Origin

“This is Meridian; the Wexxian Empire’s territory” Another galaxy nearby was highlighted, this one with gold.

“The Wexxian Empire is currently at war with the Nameless Empire, known to occupy these galaxies…” Twenty galaxies of varied sizes became highlighted with red. “There are more, but that’s all the Intel we have at the moment”

“Our Allies in the Resistance tell us that they hold these territories, but that is probably also merely a fraction of their true strength” Fifteen galaxies where highlighted in blue.

Zooming in on the nearest galaxies, Garezz continued.

“We are assisting the Resistance in the invasion of these two galaxies, alongside guarding our home, which means the Wexxian Navy is engaged on three fronts and our recourses are spread thin.

We have heard a rumor that the Nameless Ones where planning on attaching Origin to gain more slave species and to damage the Resistance Moral. They know that both the Terran-Ixians and the Wexxians have a special connection to this place.
We can’t confirm the rumor but the Higher Up’s decided to deploy my fleet here to be certain.

Our mission is:

1. To act as a deterrent for a potential Invasion.

2. To assess the combat readiness of Origin’s military forces and If deemed capable; enlist them into the Knights.

3. In the event of a Invasion, we are ordered to contact Meridian and unleash hell on those bastards.

All in all, if there is no invasion, then we are all good… otherwise, we’ll have an about 2,4% chance of survival!” Garezz finished with a predatory grin.

"Very typical of "Them." Striking at the hearts of what matters to others the most...", the king remarked somewhat coldly, his mind winding back to the days when his mentor thought him about ancient Orealyian history. The Orealyians knew all too well how the Empire dealt with people not to their liking. He himself once ended up on the harsher end of "Their" twisted form of diplomacy, being but a mere child when the royal family's escort was harassed by a fleet of slave-grunts, shortly prior to their settling in Origin.

Returning to the subject at hand, Foriza nodded to the Wexxian Knight in sound agreement. "Rest assured, commander. We shall do our best to rally the galaxy's agencies against "Their" invasion. We shall also start contacting the necessary bodies to begin fortification efforts in vital points of Origin."

Still...

Looking straight at Garezz, Foriza's eye was filled with curiosity as he asked the knight a potentially crucial question. "Commander, would you mind if I inquire of you a certain, potentially crucial question?"

"I am of much gratitude for your assistance in this endeavor, dear commander.", the king bowed slightly, the Orealyianis sign of thanking. "As for the question..."

"During the Resistance's latest scans of the local intergalactic medium, have there been any signs of large-scale spatial disturbances beyond the region's usual range for natural cosmic phenomena? These past few years have proven to be truly anomalous for Origin, with respect to the rate of cases suspected of extra-galactic intervention.

Origin is, at its heart, a very self-contained galaxy. The only suspects in the region with a reasonably high probability of connection to these incidents are the Ariadnian Government, the Tri-Wexxian Empire, and of course...

"Them."

In accordance with the recent records, during the Wexxian exodus to Meridian and the Orealyianis migration to Origin, a chain of very intense encounters occurred between His Majesty King Moriadne's forces and a Nameless expeditionary force led by a high-ranknig elder, who goes by the title "Violator."

Eventually, "Violator" was defeated and was last seen within the confines of his luminary assault carrier, as it quickly collapsed into a singularity due to the severe damage sustained by its core.

Commander, admittedly, it might be far too early to conclude as such, but I fear that "Their" suspected display of force in Origin isn't just about reducing our people's morale..."

The king paused for a while, giving the details some time to piece themselves together. With a recollected self, he spoke once again and finally submitted his rather ominous conclusion.

"They're getting back at us for offing their chief of xenobiology..."

Still, why this galaxy alone?

”Revenge, huh? How utterly appropriate” Garezz mused as his Aide-de-camp brought him the relevant files.

Quickly skimming through them, the Soahc frowned; he never could make heads or tails of deep space scanning data. To him it was all a bunch of energy and mass readings at various coordinates. Numbers and even more numbers… Garezz’s area of expertise was more along the lines of excessive application of violence and the directing of others in said field.

“These are reports from the Department of Imperial Intelligence, concerning deep space sensor readings and reconnaissance in the vicinity of the Wexxian sphere of influence. I don’t know if they will be of any help to you sir, but the Wexxian Empire is not cleared for receiving intelligence reports from the Resistance, so this is the best I can do” The captain said as he handed the folders to King Foriza.

“If that is all, then I will begin our assessment of the native forces, I’ll have my communications officer transfer our command codes to the Vara Orealyianis so you can reach us when we are needed, your highness!”

Garezz turned to his subordinates on the bridge.

“Right people, I want us ready for our first test drills within twenty minutes. Have recon-squadron Alpha through Zeta set up a dummy enemy armada with their holo-projectors.”

//We will now begin conducting a series of test drills to determine your overall combat readiness… Who is first? //

//We read you Fortitude, Greetings Captain Terel.

We will conduct a drill simulating a planetary attack from a minor Slave Fleet of the Nameless Empire.

You will be asked to send a strike fleet proportionate to a quick emergency force. Not a completely prepared armada.

Stage one; will consist of the enemy attacking a populated world. Your fleet will attack and attempt to defend the planet.

Stage two; will be a hold out battle where your forces will be facing stronger enemy reinforcements.

Stage three; your forces will receive allied reinforcements and your abilities to cooperate will be tested to end the evaluation.

If struck by the enemy and deemed ‘destroyed’ by the on-site observers. The indicated vessel(s) will withdraw from the drill and observe with the rest of your fleet as well as the Lord of the Infinite.

Your fleet commander may use any methods he finds suitable. He may also request any intelligence he wishes.

If you accept the terms, report back with the details of the strike force you choose to represent your military. //

"Many thanks, Commander! We will see to it that this data be put to utmost use.", the King thanked Garezz as he bid him goodbye, for now. Turning around, the Monarch made his way back towards his vessel before promptly returning to the Vara Orealyianis. The data given by the Knights would be put through the necessary tests as soon as can be made possible. Running its results against the myriad of intra-galactic information already contained within Shudariadne's personal database, they'll hopefully be able to root out which anomalies deserved far more attention, and which ones bear the telltale signs of a certain ominous event.

Moments later, on the Vara Orealyianis...

Shanara slowly turned from the captain's seat to witness his brother descending from the hangar. With several casual steps, the Prince and Admiral approached the Orealyianis Monarch, dutifully gesturing to him on his safe and prompt return. The King, in turn, made his way towards him, and after a quick salute from everybody in the chamber, the two returned to the admiral's post and discussed the matter at hand.

As they watched the Knights of Vengeance conduct their initial test, the data delivered by Garezz was already on its way. Soon the people of ORIST will be able to peer inside of it, and glean valuable information that might help in eventually predicting the nature of the, as of now, significantly vague invasion.

Terel acknowledged the Wexxian's directions and relayed them through to command.  Within minutes, his request was put through, and his fleet suplimented with a dozen more ships.  It was still nowhere near the might of a full fleet, or even most emergency response units, but command felt that it would suffice for the drill.  If worse came to worse, they would supliment it with reinforcements, which were always readily available to any Kratairian fleet in need of assitance.

The Fortitude's fleet stood ready to begin the Wexxian's trials.

Time: 2 Weeks after Wexxian Resurgence in the Origin Galaxy.
Location: High Orbit around planet Hatia; Reclaimed Wexxian Colony.

-SLAM-

”Again!” Garezz shouted at Litaria, as she picked herself up from the floor. Something she had spent the last weeks doing a lot. Ever since they arrived in Origin, most of her time was spent in combat training with various instructors.

Today her instructor was none other than Captain Garezz, the so called Lord of Vengeance… who was utterly whipping the floor with her.

Supposedly, he was teaching her Soahc Sword fighting… but Litaria suspected that he just wanted to vent some frustration from being bored with doing nothing.

Since the arrival of the Knights, everything had quieted down. The evaluations of the native forces where proceeding steadily, with promising results. The old Wexxian capital Hatia had been re-annexed into the Empire… Something that didn’t sit entirely well with most of the Knights, as well as the Hatian population. Having been an independent nation for sixty years, the Hatians where disgruntled to suddenly be taken over by foreign invaders. Despite this, the occupation had not been violent… the people of the old Wexxian Capital had been used to peace since the REDSTAR Rebelion and resolved to bear this injustice with a stoic disapproval.

Litaria raised her sword and charged at the Soahc captain. Slash… Thrust… Parry… Why couldn’t she hit him? The old man was just too damn fast. They had been going at it for hours and she hadn’t landed one hit.

-SLAM- Garezz delivered a kick to Litarias torso that sent the smaller S’etskarp girl flying.

“You are pathetically predictable. Every attack you make is like it’s been copied from a damn instruction manual… BADLY copied! There is no finesse, no style… none of attacks showed true spirit.” Garezz said in his growing voice. Walking towards the training room’s exit, making it clear that the lesson was over.

“Then teach me!” Lita called, causing the grizzled Soahc to pause.

“I cannot… if you can’t figure it out yourself, then you never will!”

With those words, Garezz walked out leaving an enraged Avenger behind.

I NEVER ASKED FOR ANY OF THIS!” She shouted at the closing door.

---

‘I never wanted this…’ Litaria looked down at the now inactive hilt of the Sword of Axon. The thing that had isolated her from the rest of the world.

Ten years ago. She had seen the damned thing laying on her father’s desk. Her father had rushed to the study when he heard her scream, to find his darling daughter holding the most powerful artifact in the Wexxian Empire, Its blazing blade alit in her hands.

The kept it secret as long as possible, but inevitably the secret got out and Litaria became known overnight throughout Meridian, as the Third Avenger.

Ten years of training had not brought Lita a single bit closer to knowing WHY the blade had bonded with her.

“How can I be the Avenger, IF I CAN’T EVEN TAKE ON A FREAKING SENIOR CITIZEN? “

Frustrated, she flung the hilt at the floor. The clang of the sword colliding with the metal floor resounded through the training room as she stormed off.

But Litaria Teaz-Enerva-03-02 was the Avenger, and there wasn’t a damn thing she could do about it. As she left the room, the hilt was once again hanging from her belt… she couldn’t escape it.

A single tear made its way down her cheek before being angrily wiped away.

Garezz walked into his office. Glancing once over the family picture on the desk, he began working on his paperwork... It was about all he did here in Origin.

‘Damn child… I don’t have the time to play babysitter if everything goes to hell’

Had Litaria been any one of his Knights, then she would have been sent home the moment she had arrived. Her words resounded in Garezz’s head.

I NEVER ASKED FOR ANY OF THIS!’

That was the point! Garrezz had twenty three commanders, a hundred fighters and a myriad of support staff in his fleet. Every single one the Knights of Vengeance was here for two reasons. One; they were the best of the best, and Two; they had CHOSEN to be here!

All the potential and talent that Litaria had would be for nothing if she didn’t want to use it. There was the difference… A warrior without a reason to fight will always perish, no matter how good he is.

As long as the girl was like this, she would never survive on the battlefield and she would endanger both her life and the life’s of her comrades. Garezz could not permit that.

If she didn’t get the point soon, then she would be sent back to Meridian on the next RIT Transportation. Civilians had no place on the front… not even one as peaceful as this.

-BEEP BEEP- the annoying intercom announced loudly.

“Captain, we need you on the bridge ASAP!” an almost panicked voice called.

“Take me there immediately then!” Garezz responded before he vanished from the office in a flash of light.

Litaria had walked back to her temporary apartment on the ship, taking the route that offered a view of the planet below. She really liked that planet and its bluish white visage had helped her calm down a little. She had visited Hatia every time she could get away with it in the last week. It was a fantastic city with so many kinds of people from different species. And best of all… nobody recognized her!

The young woman was starting to ponder the possibilities of settling on Hatia, as the alarms began blaring.

-Alert! Special Emergency Condition Orders have been ordered by the Wexxian Government. All hands report to your stations. All leave is revoked.-

Lita ran to the nearest holo-screen where a group of people had already gathered.

“What’s going on?”

“It’s Void! The Capital has been attacked.” Someone answered her.

“Void had been attacked? That’s impossible! Its defenses are…” another newcomer said before falling silent.

The screen showed legions of Nameless Slaveships in combat with Wexxian forces while planet Void was being bombarded from orbit.

The Capital of the Tri-Wexxian Empire, the Fortress World of Void… had fallen!

Location: Spatial Region Void; Several parallax seconds from orbit.

A towering humanoid figure can be seen standing amidst an ocean of darkness as it faced a set of holographic monitors showing the fall of the Tri-Wexxian Capital. His dark and tattered garments contrasting heavily against the uniform sleekness of the radiant control panels which constantly revolved around him.

“So, this insignificant backwater is the rotten hive of the so-called Tri-Wexxian Empire?", the titanic silhouette crossed his arms to the front as a radiant pair of ominous yellow slits, which served as the being's eyes, narrowed even more in an act of sophisticated insolence towards the falling capital. "How quaint, wouldn't you say?"

As if on cue, a seemingly trivial speck of light burst forth from the surrounding vacuum, giving birth to a comparatively microscopic and vaguely avian figure. Circling around the other, far larger entity, its sickeningly purple protuberances pulsed vividly against its off-golden skin as it promptly began to speak.

"Greetings, my lord.", it told its master in a very revering manner. "We have received news from the other side. They have also begun to set their part of the plan in motion."

"Is that so?", the enormous nameless general quickly gave a remark as he swiftly spread his arms, dismissing the projections around him before a single massive visage suddenly sprang in front of him. A vast stretch of space, with several distinct galaxies dotting the expansive starscape. It was as comprehensive a map intelligence could get regarding the Tri-Wexxians' territorial holdings without unnecessarily compromising their covert operations.

"Indeed, my lord.", the lone terran-vesfian answered without a doubt.

Turning his monolithic head towards his loyal informer, he eyed his servant intently, as if commanding it to read his thoughts simply through his cold, merciless, and vaguely featureless stare. Not wanting to fail his greatly expectant superior, the servant did just that as it smoothly delivered an eerily unfazed set of words.

"It will be as you wish...", it said with utmost elegance before quickly flying away and setting about its duties. "Elder Ferunenheimer..."

"Doesn't it always?", the elder remarked rather slyly before promptly returning to his work after briefly entertaining the messenger. "Wouldn't you agree..."

On the Bridge, Garezz watched the shocking footage from the destruction of their capital.

“A Luminary Assault Carrier!” he almost whispered as he recognized the nightmarish shape in the skies above Void.

The Bridge was in full alert, ever since the Special Emergency Condition Orders; all systems had gone to active status. All three of the Infinite’s Zero Point Cores where active, the Shield was a full power and ALL weapons where primed. The Lord of the Infinite was ready to tear through any enemy that would stand in its way.

But there were none here! The Battle was galaxies away. There was nothing they could do.

“They are finally beginning to take us serious, I see.” The old Soahc Captain growled. As the feed cut off abruptly and was replaced with static.

“What happened?”

“We lost the signal sir!”

“Well, get it back and open a channel to our allies.”

“Aye Sir!”

// This is captain Garezz of the Lord of the Infinite.

Moments ago we received word that the Tri-Wexxian Capital of Void in Meridian, has come under attack by the Nameless Empire.

In all probability, the capital will have fallen by now.

The Knights of Vengeance have gone to Full Alert; I recommend that anyone does the same. At least until we receive news on the situation.

Good luck everyone! //

“Have you re-established contact?” Garezz asked his communications officers.

“No Sir, We have tried contacting everyone we know of in outside Origin… but we are getting no response from anywhere. Military High Command, The Alitia Station, anyone of the Attack, or Defense Fleets. Hell, we can’t even Contact the Terran-Ixians! “

Garezz gazed into the darkness of space. Pondering the implications.

“This is bad… incredibly and indescribably bad!”

"Would your struggles not favor...", with a flick of Elder Ferunenheimer's wrist, several projections made themselves apparent all across the vessel's bridge. "... to further entertain me?" The sparkling visage of countless worlds came within view as the central scape of galaxies zoomed towards the center and onto a single patch of densely inhabited space. Above its radiant core, a barely visible note floated amongst the stars, written in Wexxian text, its meaning was all but clear.

     MERIDIAN...

A dreaded air of silence filled the sea of stars.

Void has all but fallen, and with it, a major beacon of hope which keeps the worlds afloat.

Myriad questions raced within everyone's mind.

But of all their many answers, one dreaded proposition will rise above the rest.

Void will not be alone in its tragic fall to chaos...

As the Tri-Wexxian armies scrambled to get a hold of the degenerating situation, a harrowing apparition slowly began to form in the cold emptiness of extra-galactic space. One by every one, high-powered sensors all across the Empire  suddenly began detecting an extremely vast convergence just above the galaxy's core.

Visual data finally poured in as vessel upon vessel rapidly lost contact. All of them once bordering the highly ominous presence. A very mortal chill ran down a soldier's spine as the shocking face of reality suddenly beset its eyes.

Massive rifts in space, the likes of which were enough to harbor entire planets, dotted the endless stretch of blankness as a seemingly endless swarm of varied alien vessels bellowed forth from the portals and rained down from the heavens, blanketing the cluster of stars in a nefarious veil of blight.

Such structures were the least of their concern, however.

Scattered amongst the dense cloud of malice, three harbingers of ruin towered above them all. Colossal rings of light stretched across the darkness, the looming echo of despair resounding across their disturbingly spasmodic surface. Only one type of vessel amongst the vast ranks of the Nameless deemed such a gargantuan threshold the exceedingly bare necessity.

The multitude gates of hell have opened their gaping maws as the heart of the Tri-Wexxian Empire finally begins its greatest struggle yet for victory...

     ... and survival.

"What could you possibly do now...", a sophisticated cacophony of clearly scornful laughter rang across the bowels of the assault carrier Nurenheimer.

     "... wretched spawn of Axon?!"

Void; Inner Perimeter Defense Line:

Admiral Falzan stood on the bridge of his flagship, the Trembling Rage. Surveying the carnage before, him with an odd mixture of feelings.

Horror, anger, sadness… anticipation?

It had finally begun; the Nameless had stopped their halfhearted slave attacks and begun a full scale invasion.  Attacking Void meant that they thought that it would weaken the Wexxians organization and resolve…  That was a mistake that THEY would regret.

“How many have we saved?” he asked his Executive Officer.

“A few hundred thousand made it to the Underground bunkers where they were transported off-world. The Fortress and the Imperial Palace took the worst of the first attack… Emperor Arcos didn’t make it!”

“How did the enemy get past our Defensive Perimeters” the Admiral demanded.

“The Enemy fleet bypassed the outer security with the identification codes of the 47’Th R.R.F. It would seem that there is a traitor in our midst”

The Bridge was heavy with tension.

“It’s hopeless, without the Capital, the Empire will fall!” One of the Gunnery Chiefs uttered in his despair.

-SLAM-

Falzan's steel fist collided hard with the Gunnery Chief’s face. The officer landed roughly on the floor and was picked up by his uniform by the Admiral.

“Pull yourself together Boy.  Our Empire falls on the day the Nameless are destroyed… Not a second before that!”

Falzan released the officer and opened a channel to the rest of the Defensive Fleets that where regrouping at their position.

//The Nameless thinks that they have weakened us beyond recover. They don’t know us!

We have received orders from Military High-Command. The Advance Attack Fleets have been recalled from the frontline. The Supreme Commander is on his way now with the 1’Th AAF to destroy these creatures.

They will not make it here in time!

Our orders are to keep the enemy here as long as we can. By any means necessary.  In accordance with the Imperial Military Code of Conduct, I am ordering all Organic Personnel to transfer to the evacuation cruisers. S’etskarp and Soahc Battle Units are to withdraw immediately //

The bridge of the Trembling Rage was quiet for a few seconds. Nobody moved… neither organic nor synthetic. Pings from the communications consoles heralded the responses from the other ships in the fleet. The holo screen winked into life as the S’etskarp commander responded.

//Admiral, you must be joking if you think we will let you have all the glory. //

Another channel opened from the Soach division.

//We are the Fighting Soahc Wexxian, we do NOT retreat! These vermin will pay for the death of our emperor.  //

//PAYBACK NOW! //

//FOR THE EMPEROR! FOR THE AVENGER! //

//KICK THEIR ASSES! AXON STYLE! //More of the fleet commanders called in.

“Sir, we received confirmation from the fleet. No one appears to have followed the order to evacuate.” A communications officer reported with a barely hidden smirk.

“You are all a bunch of crazy bastards!”  Falzan remarked with a predatory grin. “EXCELLENT!”

The Wexxian Admiral gazed at the nightmarish visage of the Luminary Assault Carrier and the enemy fleet. The sheer insurmountable number of them... plenty of enemies for everyone…

//All ships! Phalanx formation! Ready weapons and prepare for combat.

Today we lost our brethren, today we lost our kin. Today we were struck down… and today we stand up again! We’ll keep standing up, until the end.

Full attack; unleash hellfire on the Nameless Forces. Free drinks on me in the afterlife, to the ship with the highest kill-count! //

Ferocious laughter echoed over the com-channels as the reassembled fleet went back into the fray, the Trembling Rage leading the charge. Fire and lightning blazed across the emptiness and soundless blasts of light and plasma, bloomed with terrible beauty.

Throughout the silent cascade of death, darkness and light. Falzan’s voice stretched through subspace to near and far.

//Gentlemen, it has been an honor!

We are who we are.

We do what we do.

Wexxians FOREVER!
//

//WEXXIANS FOREVER!!! //  The responses echoed throughout subspace.

On the day we lost Void. The broken and tired remains of the Capitals Defense Fleets regrouped and made a final strike against the Nameless invasion force still remaining there.  Outnumbered and outgunned, with no hope of reinforcements reaching them in time, they took on the overwhelming might of the Nameless Armada. They fought ferociously and died laughing, after taking down a third of the enemy fleet.

Long after the Wexxian Empire as ceased to be. They will still be remembered… as the Demons of Void.

Wexxians Forever…

(OOC: To be Continued in…

They Who Cannot Be Named: The Battle for Origin

Who was the traitor who sold out the Imperial Capital? Will this tragedy be enough for the Avenger to become who she was meant to be? Is she meant to be? What will happen to Meridian, and to Origin?

Pff… I don’t know.  We’ll see what happens!  :D )
