Starship Troopers was a fun movie. It had two flaws:
1. It was to be based on a very good book, but failed miserably to follow hardly anything in the book. Had the movie been called something else, people would have liked it more.
2. People missed the point that it wasn't to be taken seriously. It is obvious that the producer decided that the only way to market it was to make it a robocop-esk spin-off.

Starship Troopers 2 had only two things worth seeing in the movie, but she died early on.

Setting aside movies I KNEW would be bad and WANTED to revel in the suckitude (e.g. Plan 9, Showgirls), and trying to focus on movies that I actually wanted to enjoy, here's a few off the top:

"The Waterboy"... and for that matter, Sandler's remake of "The Longest Yard". Sandler + football = teh suq.

Thanks to a recommendation from my wife's friend, we also sat through "Amelie" (Isn't she quirky? Isn't she French?) I think I would've rather been pistol-whipped for a similar length of time.

In terms of big blockbusters, I pretty much thought Tom Cruise's "War of the Worlds" and the second and third Matrix movies crapped the bed.

Also, what about Last Action Hero? That was a stinker! It was expected to be the next big Arnold movie, and costed around 80 million to make, but it ended up being crap. What's with it making fun of all the cliches and cheesiness in action movies yet it emulates those outside the movie as well? And it is not funny....

It was funny, but unfortunately, you're simply clueless about everything, which is shown in nearly all of your posts. Make your farewell post and just get out.

I remember seeing Legionaire i think it was with Jean cluade van damme it was when I was in year 9 end of school year the whole class taken to the movies we had a choice of seeing Antz or Legionaire I had already taken my sister to see Antz I didn't feel like seeing it again I probably should have just random violence which seems good but really wasn't and the ending was crap the bad guys couldn't kill Van Damme so they decided to let him go. (I don't think im posting spoiler because really you shouldn't see this film)

Actually flipping through the cable box I came across a couple of other stinkers that I totally blocked from my brain.

Soldier (yet another Paul W.S. Anderson "masterpiece" ... of crap!)
No Escape (I should have escaped from this crapfest)

The worst part is that I saw these in the theater as well! Ugh!

Wow...Amelie is actually one of my 5 favorite movies.

I also got quite a few laughs out of Ace Ventura.  Guess it all just boils down to your taste in movies...

I own Soldier on DVD, heh - this was back when DVD was new, and I was trying to find cheap(er) movies to watch, since the standard price was $30.00 or more.   Soldier was $14.99.  I knew nothing about the movie.  I was in college.  ...and it's still not excusable.

since the standard price was $30.00 or more.

So not a lot has changed. It may be easier to find a sale now but if I wanted let's say a Indian Jones movie unless I shopped online I would still end up paying around $30.00.

I thought DOOM was pretty bad, but I still had fun watching it. Lampooning movies in a deserted theatre with friends 4tw.

I also thought Snatch was kind of crappy. It was like watching a two hour TV commercial.

You all need to watch some real crappy movies. Movies like "Night Train to Mundo Fine" or "'Manos' The Hands of Fate". No budget, horrible acting, non-comprehensible script, basic things like sound and focus not included! I'd rather watch Universal Soldier or Steven Seagal any day of the week than those movies.

But if I have to choose a big-budget movie which really sucked, I'd take Star Wars III. Some things were so laughable. It was one of the first movies I didn't like while watching it in a cinema(sight and sound usually keeps me happy till the ending).

Titanic, easy.

Starship Troopers is one of my favourite Sci-Fi movies, it's kind of like Wrestling for me. Turn off your brain and enjoy, not everything needs to be a cerebral activity of the higher mind here, people.
The reason I hate/Boycott Sony: "Most people, I think, don't even know what a Rootkit is, so why should they care about it?"
