Homestuck *thpoilerth*

Everything after page 1 of this thread may very well have UNMARKED SPOILERS. Just go read the comic!

A young man stands in his bedroom. It just so happens that today,
the 13th of April, is this young man's birthday. Though it was
thirteen years ago he was given life, it is only today he will be
given a name!

What will the name of this young man be?

And so starts Homestuck, the latest in a series of MS Paint Adventures (actually drawn in Photoshop from day 2). This thing only gets more awesome as it goes on and man, it's barely halfway over! Anyway you should read it but start on page 1 or you'll be lost. You might be lost anyways but at least you can appreciate how convoluted it is. That's my favorite thing about it, actually. Dozens of dots, dozens of themes, each connected by a throwback line. And it will all kind of fit together like some kind of cocoon of exquisite lies. Kind of like Lost, except "funny, and not as heavy handed and dour all the time."

Yes I did start this thread so I can gush about how awesome it is.

Previous poll results:
"Is Homestuck awesome?"
Yes        19 (33.3%)

YES!      27 (48.2%)

Approved.

I mean, what other webcomics come with animation and music?
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

It was the only webcomic that taught me the responsibilities involved when appointing oneself mayor of can town.
(Though I admit I have recently fallen behind in reading it. I certainly need to catch back up.)
What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

Today I watched Con Air, solely because of this webcomic.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I love this comic.

Actually, from this site:

"Homestuck is my favorite webcomic, though Problem Slueth is cool too."

...54 translations later we get:

"Hop alert slueth house, well"

...Wow. No, I didn't forget to put in the period, it got rid of that in translation.

The latest S John: Reunite with your loving wife and daughter. is my favorite page ever. Srsly.

Although I hope the trend will continue and the actual Act 4 closing will be even better!

PS- I, too, am considering watching Con Air.

But seriously. Remember the mention of Jade's sisters? You probably don't, but knowing Homestuck, it'll be at least somewhat important in the future.

Huge spoilers. Informative if you're puzzled after the ectobiology spree.

It hasn't actually happened yet, but heavily implied.

When I was reading the cast for Con Air, I misread "Diamond Dog" as "Diamonds Droog" and almost flipped my lid.

I love figuring out these little details out.

Even despite having it reinforced over and over, I never quite  have the Kids chumhandles sorted out in my head, and I need to occasionally remind myself of who it is talking if I am near he end of a pester log.

Also, it seems the End of Act animation is set to arrive today at some point. So prepare your minds for a thorough boggling.
