The Nine Nations
The Nine nations are the premier power on the planet of FLRX. So called due to their status as the founders of the Space Union (and subsequent status as regional and world powers) each nation has served as a mass node as well as a hub for there status. Each Nation (where applicable) serves as the chair state for their respective Union and each nation has full access to heavy scale and WMD caliber weapons. They are:
The Joint Countries cw GallitheriaINTRODUCTIONBackground: In the year 1.78E3 the Northern sector of the West Continent was fractured into a variety of settlements Varying from foreign colonies, to misplaced tribal groups, to exiles from other nations. The economy and status of this area was , due to the ragtag nature of the bunch, severely disrupted and once the nation enacted a form of dependence outside nations boycotted there wealthy resource trade, almost collapsing the entire Continental Economy. To counteract this, Twenty one nations on the Northwest, in an act of defiance and sheer self preservation were forced to enter into a credit union using a common form of currency and massively specialized and regulated economy to stay aloft. This, however only provoked the foreign nations leading to a massive invading fleet (composed of furious nations that intended to cut up the NW between them) invaded. This however back fired as the already close nations were forced together by military necessity and using guerilla tactics and the long distances involved for the enemy to there advantage they were able to defeat them. After the war in the year 1.8E3 a new government was formed united all the nations under single republican rule. Flash forward a couple centuries and due to the relative distance from nay close competition, the JCG has expanded to encompass a large chunk of the Northwest, while expanding its influence over the entire Western Continent. It has, in a short few centuries expanded into a sprawling super nation composed of 80 interconnected and mutually independent Counties all of which are unionized under one banner.

Legislative branch: 55p legislators (Represenators of the Assembly) elected from Electoral Districts (which are independent from Countries, due to unbaked population) each serving for an unlimited amount of seven year terms. The legislature has exclusive law making power, but cannot legally take any action of its own (that is the duty of the PMC and the various departments and extremities of the Executive Branch)
Judicial branch: The Gran Jury contains a group of ten forced neural judges, whom are appointed by the Assembly. They have exclusive oversight over the action of the PMC and they oversee impeachment against the Executive Branch.
