Sweet! Animal Crossing will be next gen!

"Basically, take a GameCube, double the clock rate of the CPU and GPU and you're done."

"Revolution discs can store 4.7GBs of data on a single layer or 8.5GBs when double-layered on a single-side. This is a massive jump from the 1.5GB capacity of GameCube discs and more than enough storage capacity for any non-high-definition game."

"Every developer was in agreement that Revolution should launch with a price tag of $149 or lower. Some speculated that based on the tech, a $99 price point would not be out of the question."

Nintendo is smart. They are so smart that I'm too lazy to explain why.

It would be awesome if we got the Revolution for as little as 99 dollars, but I don't know.  Check this out:

Yeah, when I read that the Revolution wouldnt be that powerful, put would probably retail for $99-$149, I was actually very enlightened. Heck, at that price, theres absolutly no reason not to get one!

Thats clearly the point, while people will only buy an X-box 360 or a PS3 they wont have any reservations about buying a revolution as well, $150 is a small enough price for the revolution to almost be an impulse buy item..
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

I think its great helps with the non serious gamer market which system are you more likely to go after the cheap non daunting system or the power house with the button filled controller. Also if your like most serious gamers i know, you have 2 systems most likely you are going to fork out for one huge one then you buy another cheaper system as well.
