the planet of Felron was now cold an abandoned for the time being. at least it appeared as such from space. the GPA forces and military fleets had relived it to the Core Combine, but down on the surface, new occupants had already taken residence.

the Iavolg had multiplied into the low millions at this point, and had scrounged and gathered about a 70 square kilometers area for raw materials. they had been lucky their was so much organic wast left behind, or they would have starved within the first day. soon, the Hnangha would return, let out its enormous cables (basically space elevators), and begin to collect the resources for repourposing.

this operation would commence for several months to several years. then the ship would leave, abandoning their people and the planet. of course this assumes no interruptions.

Spacial disruptions began to appear around Felron, after backbreaking negotiations the Core was finally allowed to return to its homeworld. Countless ships appeared, both military and industrial, all carrying massive amounts of materials to begin repairing Felron's countless systems. Luckily the Ivalog had not managed to pierce the deeper underground targets.

Without word or warning ships weapon systems began to arm themselves as the ships proceeded to take aim at the Ivalog's massive mothership but they had yet to fire

//Treachery! The GPA stated that Felron was to be returned!//

Apparently they assumed the Ivalog ships where infact GPA member race ships....

The ships began to take up attack positions, needless to say they where pissed, after all how would you feel if you came home and found out your house was infested by mindless, zombie, lizard, eating machines?

[subject: threat; 'hnangha'<> threat source: species //SPECIES UNSPECIFIC//; new species; species 19003 <> threat probability: 88% <> action: threat prevention; deffensive armament]

deep within the home ship, Moataia was working. not herself, of course. she had dozens of Iavolg and machines to do the menial tasks. and, as allways, Agnasi was directing.

a cloud of tiny ships had surrounded the Hnangha at this point, ready to take any attack directed at it,  if they could. either way, they would perish. if that failed, the great ship it'self would take deffensive messures. it was covered haphazzardly in weapons and projectile deflectors. if the ship did take damage, it would compartmentalize the wreckaged section, and break it off.

meanwile, Moataia had become concious, something a Larentili would a occasionaly regain. she realized, looking at the data before her, standard procudure may not be warented: the enemy was not some tiny single-solar nation mounting a last ditch deffence, but a full, militaralistic force. she hesitated. then the surge entered her brain. she felt as if she was drowning in a frothy ooze. and the thoughts where gone. there could be no delays

They’re very few words to describe the Core Combines anger for this transgression… except perhaps that they were incredibly pissed off. Ragaran had been debating with himself about weather firing on the Ivalog ships or attempting to negotiate, until the answer finally came to him…

Screw negotiating…

//Core Combine fleet in battle formation, all weapons systems armed, targets acquired, Carriers, aim boarding pod trajectory towards the enemy mothership.//

With that Core ships suddenly opened fire with full force, moving into position countless frigates and destroyers clashed with the clouds of Ivalog ships, large battle ships unleashed salvo after salvo of graviton bolts, gravity missiles and rail guns. Carriers played more of a support role, unleashing swarms of Combine fighters into the fray while occasionally firing of their own salvo to support the front line ships, the dreadnaughts mostly stayed back, playing rolls as command ships while occasionally unleashing their own deadly plethora of weapons.

Within one of Combine carriers boarding pods where being prepared to fire at the enemy ships, soldiers as well as large columns of slave where being directed towards these weapons, preparing to hit the Ivalog right where it hurt.

Upon this particular deck one creature walked, a Skrall in common battle armor, approaching another and stared, the Skrall did not have a particular military salute.

//Field commander Tavek’Za armed and ready for battle!//

//Direct yourself to boarding pod 3, prepare for heavy resistance upon boarding the vessel, high warlord Ragaran has also advised caution, remember to assess the situation.// What could be assumed to be the Tavek’Za superiors replied

//Acknowledged//

As the battle between the Core Combine and Ivalog ships erupted, several new craft began to approach the Hnangha as a velocity and speed higher than any of the other ships, the pod like devices speed pass the Ivalog ships, some being destroyed before impacting, but others made it through, impacting the Ivalog mother ship on multiple decks.

The boarding pod doors opened up for Tavek’Za, in which his quadrupeds battle armor practically leaped out, opening fire upon any Ivalog he caught within his visual optics, his columns of slave troops soon followed him out of the pod, charging as always with the ruthless, and suicidal zeal they were always known for

//All units locate the bridge, power generators, and all other critical systems! We will exterminate the vermin at its source!//

The core soldiers had succeeded in boarding the ship, but they would have to travel deep to reach the vital systems. the area they entered was a storage area for materials, common on the edges of the vessel. a few Iavolg where found there, but they where mostly clambering about the ground in their own feces. if they where expecting a battle, they would not find it here...

but then a swath of gangly machines, with lengthy six limbs, bristling with spikes instead of feet or hands, emerged from a dark corridor (there is no lighting on the ship) skittered toward the Core boarding party . the knackers crawled along the walls, surrounding Tavek and the soldiers as best they could, their weapons brandished menacingly. one let out a screeching mechanical noise, and almost lunged. but then it pause and stood relatively still.

Moataia ran the data again. the species had a proper army, something the Iavolg lacked. Even Agnasi could see the need for intervention. Moataia spoke through the knacker, in the muffled voice heard over it's crude sound systems, directly to the skrall in front of it.

~"Millitary member of species 19003. cease aggression. I am Moataia, orator of Agnasi."~

Normally Tavek would find this pitiful attempt to halt the Core’s aggression humorous, but the combination of Ragaran whispering in his ears as well as the fact that there where a lot of deadly machines staring at him made him willing to listen.

Ragaran has been monitoring what had been happening on the Ivalog ship for sometime through the recording devices both on the Tavek’s battle armor as well as the ones located on the slaves. At first he had ordered total extermination, but now since the Ivalog apparently wanted to talk he was beginning to have other ideas… these Ivalog, if he could possibly ally with them then they may make an effective tool, that would indeed improve his own image in the Supreme Commanders eyes, and the eyes of the Overlords…

Tavek had received the orders from the high warlord, he would see what this Moataia had to say

" your cease in hostility is welcome" said, moataia, through the Knacker.

"I cannot, for reasons you should understand, be at your location, so I shall use this mechanical unit to communicate. we understand, species 19003, that the world  below us, planet, 25934, was formerly in your claim. when Planet 25934 became unclaimed, Agnasi saw it fitting to use it.
however, as the circumstances may be, Agnasi is willing to return the world to you, with no damages. the Iavolg that have spread accross its surface can rebuild what they have dismantled, and then they can die, or perhaps for continued avoidance of mutual destruction, they could be continue function in service of species 19003
he paused.

"alternativly, this section of the mechanical unit you are aboard (Hnangha) can be detatched and drift into Planet 25934

((basicaly, you can exept their FREE, rapidly multiplying army, or you can burn up in the atmosphere)

As Tavek listened to Moataia terms, High Warlord Ragaran was tuned into Tavek’s armor systems and listening in as well, considering the Ivalog’s offer…

So far it seemed basically like a pretty good deal in Ragaran’s mind… they would gain slaves from this transfer, as well as their homeworld back in their hands (for real this time), and even have some more resources to rebuild Felrons surface structure. That and harvesting Ivalog genes may prove useful…

//Tavek, I shall deal with negotiations from here…. Activate hologram projector//

With that Tavek’s battle armor’s three visual optics began to glow red, then shooting out a mixture of lights, a red hologram of a slug like creature, a Skrall without battle armor, showed itself.

//You are the one designated as Moataia, yes? We are willing to accept your offer… Also… if this… Agnaci is willing to consider a certain… proposal… we have for him and your species…//

By proposal they meant the formation of an alliance… a military alliance… messages where soon to be sent to the Riether Empire to make the same offer.

the proposal was recived(yea, no point asking what it is, waiting a day, and then agreeing to it, and waiting another day)

deep, far deeper than even Moataia was stationed, was Agnasi. he still dwelled within the controll room of the origional ship. he ran the data [ subject: species 19003<> Catagory: structural<> directive: formation of union; compliant<> actions: combination of resources; combative, technological <> status: CONFIRMED]

Moataia responded, briefly, as was on par with an Iavolg
"we confirm your acceptance of our first offer. we also confirm your further requests, with slight alterations"

The Ragaran's holographic form raised one of his eyestalks higher than the other, the equivalent of a raised eyebrow

“Terms accepted.” The High Warlord replied, and with that the exchange was over as the return of Felron was made and new slaves where acquired. But those two things where hardly the most major events that happened on this day…

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On this day, an alliance was born; an alliance forged in the flames of war, bathed multiple times in bloodshed, and was one of pure necessity….

It went by a simple name…

The Coalition

A simple military alliance between three barbaric races, and it would carve its name into the galaxy…

In blood if it had to.

Moataia felt a strange sense of unease as she boarded the CC's rather large [subject: artificial construct<> catagory: military; orbital] . not from the beings she saw there, despite only being 3 feet tall. she had not left the ship in over ten years. she had seen countless worlds, through the data stream connected to her mind, channeled through the several cables often stabbing through her face (now unattached) But she had never seen them. it was disheartening that now the first world she saw with her own eyes(so to speak) was no more lively than the rotting walls of the Hnangha.

"I am here as the voice Agnasi, the Fetus King, the  director of invalid, the taker. he is the calculator: my words are only  his calculations."
she said the words in a rather morose tone.

the CC and Riether (who so far had communicated only with the CC) representatives had yet to come forward.

The strange organic doors opened as a familiar Skrall walked through, then again, all Skrall pretty much looked alike. This particular one was the Core Combines one and only trained Diplomat, Taragan. As Moataia spoke his head made the slightest movements that resembled a nod.

"There is much to discuss, the galaxy appears to be taking a new turn for itsself, especially with multiple new conflict rising, we must see if there is way we can profit off of them, directly or indirectly."

As Taragan spoke a light began to flicker and shift as a hologram of another Skrall took shape, this Skrall looked even calmer than Taragan, its eyes meticulously scanning the room and Moataia.

"This is High Warlord Ragaran, he will be listening on this exchange to interject as necessary." Taragan finished.

"What is truly needed is a new conquest." The High Warlord suddenly spoke "Specifically one that has higher gain than risks."
