Hey, I forgot we had this thread.  We should talk about this show more often.  Because holy stuff, that last episode.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I've been watching through it recently.

So far I'm up to 2-19 and going steadily.

NOPE still waiting for season 4 to end so I can marathon it.

But I'm a huge hypocrite, because I download Gravity Falls episodes as soon as I can get them. Let's talk about Gra- oh hey there's a thread already.
Not a winner anymore.

I think the Magic Man episode(s) are the best.

He gets Jake executed guys. What. The. Math.

Also, last episode. The borderline rapish stuff was a bit much haha. The end was awesome though.

The last two episodes of Season 4. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: This show is pure genius.

Well, Remember Me was soul crushing; what was the redeeming quality of that episode? There wasn't even a tiny inkling given that Ice King can get his memory back in the episode.

I mean perhaps children won't fully understand the implication but to me that episode was truly sad. The following episode was also interesting; I honestly have no idea what's going to come from it which is neat.

Except that when he digs out that book he says it's still wet with tears.  Which implies he remembers sometimes, then forgets again.  Or that room in his castle is too warm and melts a bit.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I thought it was wet with tears because the story it contains is so sad the Ice King cries for the writer/story; not knowing it was he who wrote it.

Sometimes, soul crushing is good.  It shows a depth of character that's rarely seen in any television, let alone a cartoon.  It makes the world bigger.

And, towards the end, just for a moment, he seems just a touch saddened by the lyrics.  Is it remembering?  No.  But it is hope.

Besides which...

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO-U--obEGI" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO-U--obEGI</a>

That looks like Simon to me.  They follow THAT sadfest with an episode with extensive exposition on time travel and you don't think we'll get to see more of his past?

You, sir, are a silly billy.
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

I realize that we'll get to see happy times ahead, it is a cartoon after-all.

And it's not like I'm saying Remember Me was a bad episode either, I understand that it was good and I know why it was good; I find most to be enjoyable but again as I said Remember Me as an episode was just a bummer is all.

The puppies were cool and all but the episode was a little weak with its pacing and how it tied up finn and jake at the very end. It,  was ok.
