My new creatures
« on: December 06, 2005, 08:55:30 am »
Hydro got me inspired, so I grabbed my artpad and started to sketch.

This is a tetrapus. It's a dim-minded carnivore with a huge apetite and a small brain.
It is constantly hunting to stay alive.

This is one of the many animals the tetrapus eats. Its kinda like the bug version of a hare. So far it's only called Lil Guy. Any name suggestions?

This is the grumpypuff. It is very protective about it's territory and dislikes disturbance. Mates only a few times during it's lifetime.

So far so good...  ;D

I think someone made something alot like that, I forget who it was, but it was called a tubeater or something. it was made on artpad. I'm not accusing you of plagarism, I'm just noticing it. in fact, considering this is about evolution, I'd claim its convergent evolution every time :)

edit: nm, it was you that had submitted that tubefeeder pic :)

those pics are pretty cool btw

Another critter, the Horned Pear

A herbivore which uses it's big, painted horns to fight other males.

The Unipodal Snake:

This is a creature I'd love to create. Would it slither or just drag it self along?

???:

Clue: It's from a sci-fi book/TV series.

Objection! It's an andalite, not an animorphs!

Well, the correct answer is, of course, an andalite. I'll give nausved a crumb to show my good side, though.

I didn't think anyone would have guessed so fast! After all, the series's not LOTR... :P

I recognized it immeadiately, I used to be a fan of the book series, but didn't see much of the TV part.
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

I wonder what environmental pressures made it evolve a limb so uniquely suited for stabbing itself in the back of the head. ???
Use those talents you have. You will make it. You will give joy to the world. Take this tip from nature: The woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except those who sang best.
