How far will the Tech tree go?
Will there be many ways to get a specific piece of tech or will it be linear?

How far will Terrforming/Landscaping go in the game? Could a very advanced civilization move mountains and drain seas for example? Like Operation Plowshare or Three Gorges Dam and other massive projects change the landscape on lager scale.

How many civilizations are they planning for release?
Are they going to put figures like Hitler in the game, or are they gonna play it safe?
How ARE religions going to work?
A. We assume 18. It's a lineage thing. B. No. The civ guys have never had the balls to put Hitler in, mostly because Germany would ban their game then, which it has done when they had the WW2 scenario that was incredibly detailed, which included Hitler and Hirohito. C. They've said they ripped religion out. As for the others, Civ series has never had terraforming in any way. I'm guessing the tech tree will probably be similar to Civ 4, but I definitely do not want that Civ Rev crap. I hit Modern while researching Middle Age techs...

When I read it, they said they 'drastically changed religion' not ripped it out.

I think they've already confirmed 13 civilizations.

Hi, you're posting under DnD. I'm not here right now, I'm busy flinging arrows at scoots. Leave a message, and when my hands start to cramp up I'll find the time to read it. Beep!

I do not like it when they do that. I am ok with sound track and a behind the scenes videos and stuff like that but i do not like it when they try to sell it with extra in game content.

This game is disappointing me so far, charging for extra content, no religion or espionage (both of which really impact the development of a civilization), etc? Jesus, what are they adding to compensate? prettier graphics and hexagon tiles? I guess nothing mods can't fix

Maybe one should wait like i did with Civ IV. I still do not like the core game that much but i have been playing a lot of mods now for days. One Dune based and one Fantasy based called Fall form Heaven II. I really like both mods even if they have some rough edges.
Both adds radical elements to the game and have some really nice ideas. Fall form heaven II have random events and a card game it and the dune mod have really interesting terrain system. Both have very Asymmetric teams which i like and in both religion/ideology play a bigger part. Many changes i do like. So far i have played both mods more then the original game.
