Wat? Where'd you get that pip-boy?

The best part about this is that it's part of the vanilla game. :3

-SPOILERS-

You get it from Mick and Mick & Ralph's in Freeside by doing an unmarked quest. I always mess it up somehow but this time it worked. Basically, Mick asks you to figure out why the Omertas stopped buying weapons from him, and he gives you a note. It's usually something you get really early on and forget about. When you do the quest to figure out what the Omertas are doing with all their new weapons, you have the option to destroy their weapons as part of the mission and free the weapons dealer from blackmail. After you finish that quest you can go back to Mick and say that the situation with the Omertas has been dealt with and that they'll be buying weapons from him again.

As thanks, you get the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion.

Full details here. If by chance the quest breaks (which is fairly common with this one) or you don't feel like doing it, it can also be console'd into the game. But that's not as fun.

And I also happened to have the Wild Wasteland trait for this run because I'd never used it before. So every time I equip the Pimp-Boy this plays. bahahahahhahaha

Don't think I have ever done a run without that trait. :)
If you stop and think about it, Your life's longer as an old guy than a kid. Scary o.o

I was ****ing around with console cheats and mods and this happened.

They just stayed there. Then they exploded.

Was there ever a fix for the crafting menus bugging out and being unusable?
Yeah, [Kishmond] came back from Africa, but the ponies have him now.

Haven't had any issues with crafting, but I couldn't tell you if a patch fixed it or if a mod fixed it.

Never play NV without wild wasteland on.

How do you know what the differences are if you only play with it? I like to play it without for my first run and then use it on subsequent runs. But my brain is filled with Tesla coils so I remember that kind of stuff.

Every time a Wild Wasteland event happens, a Vault Boy with spiral eyes shows up in the corner of the screen. You can see it here.

No it's still there. Along with weird mouse jumping on some menus. None of it is game breaking but it is kind of a pain.

I contemplated including that I knew this in my original post but figured you guys wouldn't think I was that clueless. Then again, Tesla did spend a lot of time around THE FRENCH, so I can excuse him. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I mean besides that. Like, you just play the game normal and it's still pretty wacky. But I feel like you can't appreciate the added effects as much without the perspective of playing it with that perk disabled. But then again I'm the kind of autist that actually remembers most of the details of my game playthroughs... at the cost of remembering just about anything from real life. D:
