[AC] The Slorv
« on: January 03, 2010, 02:02:17 pm »
((Disclaimer Beware: I know that I have used these creatures several times, but I was never truly able to RP with them and flesh them out. I hope that this AC allows me to do so. This is the new thread for the Slorv and hopefully a lot more streamlined.))

The Slorv

((Image thanks to Kenotai))

Alright, i know that's not the best picture quality, but its the best picture that i was able to draw of them. All other attempts at a cleaner, and nicer picture turned out horrible and didn't seem to capture it the way this picture did. I'll attempt to redraw them eventually. For clarification they have a large set of armor plating on their back and they are a light blue in color, except for their belly which is a light tan/white.

Physiology
The Slorvs are about 8ft tall, have a length of about 12ft and are about 4ft wide on average. The average Slorv weighs about 250lbs.

The very front of the Slorv is a long trunk. This allows them to grab foliage from both the ground and higher up in the trees. The end of the snout can expand, allowing the Slorv to take larger mouthfuls of food. Lining the inside of the snout are a large amount of teeth that allows them to chew up the food as it travels along their snout.

Two eyes are located further back, allowing the Slorv to see its surroundings.

The Slorv has four appendages, two with graspers and two with feet. The graspers are actually large pincers that can be quite sharp, used in primitive times to deter predators from attacking. The feet are large hooves that allow the Slorv to move about somewhat quickly for such a large animal.

Along the Slorv's back is a huge armored shell that once helped to protect it from the predators that roamed the planet. Since then the shell has somewhat decreased in size, but it still takes up a large portion of the Slorv's back.

The tail of the Slorv ends in a large egg shaped form, because that's basically what it is. The end of the tail is where the young, when in incubation, are kept. When there are no young the Slorv can use this large tail as a club to protect it against enemies.

Biology
The Slorv has five basic systems that make up its body:

-Nervous The brain of the Slorv is located directly between the two eyes. This is where all of the nervous system leads. Throughout the body are smaller nerves that allow the Slorv to realize when it is being attacked, or when it has hurt a specific part of its body. Throughout its evolution the Slorv has developed a natural painkiller that can be released in cases of extreme pain that would otherwise hinder movement. In many cases during the Slorv's primitive years a Slorv would be severely injured, but thanks to the painkiller, the nervous system would be overridden, allowing the Slorv to escape. The painkiller only works for a short period of time though, normally allowing just enough time to get away from a predator.

-Digestive The digestive system of the Slorv starts with its long snout. The food is acquired with the snout and transfered through it, all the while being chewed and prepared for the stomach. The stomach itself is located below the brain. All food is digested here. Following this is a track that leads to another smaller stomach farther back in the Slorv. After this, the food exits the body at an orifice between the legs. There is only one waste exit. Also of note is a large sac that is located between the 1st and 2nd stomach where water is collected. Because the Slorv evolved on a slightly drier planet, they can go for long periods on the water collected within their water sac.

-Body Support This system is mainly a connection between a respiratory and cardiac system. A large heart sits at nearly the center of the Slorv, above the 2nd stomach and farther back than the brain. In the space between the brain and the heart are three different small lungs. In reality there are really only two lungs with the middle 'lung' actually just being a large air sac. There have been several cases where one lung has failed and the middle lung has actually worked to pump air throughout the body. The reason for this large air sac is that it conserves energy instead of wasting it by constantly breathing in air all the way from the snout. Thanks to this air sac the Slorv can hold its breath for roughly 10 minutes.

-Muscular The Slorv has many muscles that help support the body and control its movement. The trunk, tail and back of the Slorv should be noted for their flexibility and strength. The trunk is able to bend in all directions, even directly backwards while almost retaining its entire length. On the back of the Slorv there is actually a large muscle that can push the armor up and away from the body, creating a small sac which can allow the eggs in the tail of the Slorv to enter under the armor and helps better protect them. This can only be used by the females and is only used when there are young in incubation. When sleeping, a Slorv will normally curl its tail below its body and sit on it, using it as a cushion against the hard ground.

-Reproductive The reproductive system starts directly behind the waste orifice, with another similar orifice. For males this is an 'inverted' phallus which protrudes during sexual activity. For the female this is an entrance that leads to the large egg sac located in the tail of the Slorv. Both male and female have egg sacs, but only the females have an entrance from the outside that leads to the eggs. A Slorv reaches adulthood around its 20th year after going through puberty. Normally a Slorv produces two offspring which are known as 'bond brothers/sisters' and are always of the same sex. It is impossible to have both a male and female due to the way the sperm is accepted into the eggs. These twins always share a strong bond, thus they are known as 'bond brothers/sisters'. Rarely are they separated.

Ideology
It is hard to classify the Slorv under any specific type of government. In some cases they are very individualistic, even though everyone shares a 'bond brother/sister.' In other ways they are very community-oriented, placing the greater good over their own needs. Family ties play a great role in the government, and it is not uncommon for certain herds to hold power for several decades. At the same time, due to their individualism, corporations have become more and more involved in the Slorv government. Many Slorv fervently follow their corporation, as it is the key to their success as an individual. Competition and the ability to earn money make the Slorv very aggressive businessmen.

History
The Slorvs were giant herbivores that slowly developed intelligence over time. What had once been herds of Slorvs developed into small settlements, which in turn developed into towns, then cities, and eventually sprawling megalopolises later in time. The earliest civilizations were based around survival. As the immobile lifestyle slowly took over the Slorv race, their population multiplied. Because of this, it became harder to sustain the large numbers of Slorvs living in the towns. They slowly came around to the idea of agriculture and controlled growth of plants in order to feed everyone.

But even with this new period of growth, the Slorv population was never gigantic. They were herbivores, and large herbivores at that, each individual consuming vast amounts of foliage over long periods of time. As the population grew, so did the amount of food required to support everyone. It turned out that the Slorv race was unable to keep up with the required food production. There just weren't enough people to work the giant forests that supported the cities. This led to the creation of the mechanical workforce that the Slorv have been known for ever since. Robotics at its earliest stage began several thousand years after the first Slorv settlement. At first they were simply machines that required a Slorv to work it. This increased food production, but this turned out to not be enough. There were not enough farmers to support the Slorv race, especially as more and more chose professions dealing with things other than food.

This put pressure on the mechanical industry to develop something that could work by itself, which resulted in the first automated machines. They were simple constructions of wood and stone, and they still required a 'crank' from a Slorv to get them going, but the most advanced of these machines could carry out their duty for long periods of time. These machines dominated Slorv food production until electricity and automated thought processes came into play. These greatly increased the production capacity of the machines, allowing for greater food production and creating a small population boom late in Slorv terrestrial history.

At the time of the first space programs, the Slorvs had reached a population of 5 billion, and were beginning to realize that their planet could only support so much. Because of this, greater attention was paid to these exploration expeditions, so much so that only three decades after their first satellite launch, a permanent colony had been established in orbit over their homeplanet. It only took another decade before several more colonies were constructed, along with a one being established on their moon.

By the year 8000 (8000 years since the first Slorv settlement), the Slorv race had fully colonized their solar system and were attempting several long range probing expeditions to nearby star systems.

Language
The Slorv communicate using their trunk to create sounds very similar to that of an elephant. The very tip of the trunk can be controlled and manipulated so that different sounds can be formed, although it isn't as developed as humans. Because of this, tone plays a major role in determining what a Slorv is trying to say, while at the same time showing the emotions of the Slorv.

Louder noises are generally more aggressive and depict anger. More energy is being put into these noises showing that the Slorv is ready for action. This can also be a sign of excitement. Lower tones require less energy and can show that the Slorv is being more submissive, shy, or even tired.

Body Language
Body language also plays a major role in determining the mood or emotions of the Slorv. Their trunk plays a major part in finding out the feelings of the Slorv. It is very common for the Slorv to roll up their trunk into a ball and proceed to unroll their trunk. This can be both a sign of nervousness and one of anxiousness. Sometimes it can even be a sign of excitement.

When a Slorv raises his trunk into the sky, showing the underlying 'belly' it is a sign of great joy. This is normally coupled with a loud noise or 'whoop' coming from the trunk. Wagging the trunk from side to side can be a sign of playfulness or boredom, depending on the situation.

The tail of the Slorv is most often used as a weapon. Most movements of the tail, including wagging, turning around to present the tail more clearly, or even bashing it against a surface are signs of aggression or anger. Keep an eye on the Slorv's tail if you feel you may have angered them in any way.

The pincers of the Slorv are really only able to 'click' together. This is normally a sign of boredom, although if the pincers are presented in front of the Slorv, this is a sign of defensiveness. The Slorv most likely feels provoked and is showing that he is ready to defend himself if need be. This is normally accompanied by a wagging of the tail.

Stomping is a common action that all Slorv participate in. There are a variety of meanings that can be taken from a Slorv stomping on the ground, it all depends on the situation and who is present. At the same time, other actions of the body must be taken into account to better understand what the Slorv is trying to say through body language.

Lifestyle
The lifestyle in general of the Slorv race is that of preservation of the environment. Since the beginning of their civilization, the Slorv have always maintained a healthy relationship with their surroundings, using them in sustainable and efficient ways. The Slorv have always had a close connection to nature, seeing it as the basis of all life. In a way, the early Slorv were nature worshippers, holding this in highest regard. They knew that without nature, they would never survive, and so they did their best to maintain everything the way it was.

Family has always played a major role in Slorv society, although extended family is just as important as mother, father, son and daughter. 'Clans' are the cornerstone of the Slorv society, this most likely descends from the herd-like mentality that was so prevalent in the ancestors of the modern Slorv. Originally these clans were the different tribes of the Slorv homeworld, but as societies formed and cities founded, numerous clans came together within the same area.

Cityscape
The cities of the Slorv slowly evolved from shallow beds of grass into giant megalopolises that span the underground of the planets that they inhabit. The first permanent shelters created by the Slorvs consisted normally of the giant tree-like plants that made up their forests. These plants were made of giant trunks of dead material at the center, and living material on the outside. They would normally expand to cover giant swaths of land. These could be hollowed out and used as simple shelters for the early Slorv clans.

Eventually the Slorv moved underground to maximize the efficiency of their planet's food production. Giant structures of concrete and plants formed the heart and soul of Slorv cities and massive networks of tunnels stretched across the planet. Solar stations in orbit collected the energy of the sun and beamed it back down to the planet in powerful lengths of microwave emissions.

Education
Education has always been held in high esteem among the Slorv population. They quickly realized their advantage over the other wild beasts of their homeplanet and were quick to spread new ideas and philosophies. This, coupled with the fact that the Slorv live long lives, means that the Slorv are normally held within the educational system from the age of 5 to the age of 30.

The first 10 years of education focus on the basic fundamentals of the world and are very general. The following 10 years are more focused and specialized, placing each Slorv into the categories that they excel at. The final 5 years are very focused and are picked by the Slorvs themselves, based on what they wish to be when they grow up.

On a day to day basis, the average Slorv youngster spends about 10 hours in school with the remaining 14 hours to do whatever they want. Normally these 14 hours of freedom include playing with their robotic 'buddy', engaging in social activities such as sports or large entertainment events, or simple gardening, something almost all Slorvs find a pleasure in.

Slorvian Homesystem

Star

Slorv
Slorv is a Class II yellow star with no significant differences separating it from other stars.

Planets

Slorvian I
Nickname: "Molten Mess"
Classification: Terrestrial
Population Ranking: 5th
Industrial Ranking: 2nd
Number of Moons: 0
Background: Slorvian I, or Molten Mess as some Slorv refer to it, is the closest planet to Slorv. Because of this, it endures intense heat which constantly melts and remelts its surface, making it uninhabitable to natural life. It is quite rich in resources, though, and because of this the Slorv have gone through great lengths to establish a solid foothold on this planet. Several different mining stations are spread around the surface with deep mining shafts that stretch for miles underground. Above are several orbital stations that are linked to these mining stations, providing quick and easy access for the merchant ships that transport the raw materials.

Even though there is quite a bit of infrastructure on the Molten Mess, the total population on the planet at any given time normally falls below two hundred people. Most of the actual mining operations are conducted by a massive robotic workforce that is almost completely automated. A majority of the Slorv on the planet are either there to monitor the station or conduct scientific experiments in the harsh environment.

Slorvian II
Nickname: "Industria"
Classification: Terrestrial
Population Ranking: 4th
Industrial Ranking: 1st
Number of Moons: 0
Background: Slorvian II is the second planet from the sun. It is not truly habitable, seeing as it has over one hundred active volcanoes that continue to spew poisonous gases into the atmosphere. A majority of the planet is covered in molten lava fields that are solidified on the surface, but continue to flow underneath. This has caused several problems, the reason being that the surface itself is only several inches thick. The slightest pressure can create a gaping hole that continues to expand, revealing the flowing fields of magma underneath.

Slorvian II earns its nickname, Industria, because it is the industrial center of the Slorvian Empire. It has a wealth of resources that are almost inexhaustible. It is the largest producer of metal, attracting the attention of the major corporations as the 'ground zero' of their production line. Because of this, Industria is home to the largest number of factories in the Slorvian Empire, including underground stations, surface installations, and orbital structures. Industria alone has more industrial output than the rest of the planet combined.

The orbital shipyards of Industria are probably the most fascinating. These giant structures are able to house vast workforces, both mechanical and biological. The Altarian Shipyard, which happens to be the largest Slorvian construction ever made, is able to construct up to three capital ships at one time. For many, it is the pride and joy of the Slorvian race, a testament to their industrial capacity and their willingness to expand into the stars.

Slorvian III
Nickname: "Wasteland"
Classification: Terrestrial
Population Ranking: 3rd
Industrial Ranking: 4th
Number of Moons: 1
Background: Slorvian III, otherwise known as Wasteland, is anything but. Originally, Slorvian III was a desert planet, with very little water content. There was a strong atmosphere though, which made it much more likely to sustain life. Although no traces of native life were found, experiments conducted on the surface proved that some of the more hardy lifeforms, such as some bacteria species, could survive on Slorvian III without any help. In more recent years there have been a number of programs set up to terraform Wasteland into a habitable planet for the Slorv to live on. Several asteroids containing large reservoirs of ice were slingshotted from the asteroid belt between Slorvian V and Slorvian VI towards Wasteland in order to increase the water content of the planet. The effects have been minimal, but the first signs of rainstorms have been appearing in more recent years, although none have materialized. Several basic forms of life have been grown in massive colonies to help bring about a better mix of atmosphere, one more suitable for Slorvian needs.

This terraforming project, and the high expectations that go along with it, have drawn a massive crowd. But because of limited job opportunities and a lack or resources, Wasteland only has the third largest population in the system. A large number of massive, self-sustainable eco-colonies have been setup around Slorvian III, and they continue to expand as more and more people are attracted to this exotic destination.

Wasteland has one moon orbiting it, but it is a true barren wasteland. Only one research station has been set up on its surface. Other than that this satellite has been ignored by the Slorv.

Slorvian IV
Nickname: "Home Planet"
Classification: Terrestrial
Population Ranking: 1st
Industrial Ranking: 3rd
Number of Moons: 2
Background: Slorvian IV is the cradle of the Slorv race. It has the largest population, and just barely falls behind Slorvian I in industrial capacity.

Slorvian IV has two moons, both of which have been heavily colonized. A large variety of spaceports and spacestations sit in orbit around the moons and the planet, allowing for easy access for nearly any ship.

Slorvian V
Nickname: "New Paradise"
Classification: Terrestrial
Population Ranking: 2nd
Industrial Ranking: 5th
Number of Moons: 1
Background: Even though Slorvian III holds greater promise in the area of terraforming, Slorvian V has earned the nickname New Paradise. This could be because Slorvian V was the place of the first permanent colony on another planet (excluding those set up on the moon). The atmosphere isn't too far off from being breathable, the temperature range is a little on the hotter side, and it lacks an excess of water. But terraforming has been put on the back burner. The Slorvian High Council has decided to see the results of their actions with Slorvian III before giving the go ahead for another terraforming program. No need to throw money away at twice the rate if there is no return.

There are numerous massive colonies that span the planet, making Slorvian V the second most populated planet in the system. Many say the reason is because Slorvian V is between the industrial heartland of the Slorvian Empire and the numerous moon colonies and asteroid installations that reach further out into the system. Because of this, many corporations have chosen Slorvian V as their place of residence. This has created numerous jobs, making Slorvian V the trade center of the Slorvian Empire. While it may not have much industrial capacity, it does have purchasing power.

Slorvian V has one moon which is also heavily colonized.

Slorvian VI
Nickname: "The Dwarf"
Classification: Gas Giant
Number of Moons: 6
Background: There's nothing small about The Dwarf. The only reason it has this nickname is because it just so happens to be smaller than Slorvian VII, the giant of the family. The Dwarf has six major moon colonies. They have been expanding quite rapidly in recent years, as more and more Slorv yearn for adventure in the far away colonies of the Slorvian Empire.

Slorvian VII
Nickname: "The Giant"
Classification: Gas Giant
Number of Moons: 10
Background: Slorvian VII is the giant of the system, dominating the view of all the moon colonies that orbit it, and it has many moon colonies. These are the most recent setups by the Slorvian Empire since they extend to the furthest reach of the home system. Several deep space monitoring stations have been constructed out in far orbit of Slorvian VII, to better see the surrounding galaxy.

The Four Major Slorvian Corporations

Altair Inc.
Produces: Space Ships and Orbital Infrastructure
Headquarters: Slorvian II
CEO: Hoko
Background: Altair Inc. is the largest ship builder and orbital infrastructure producer of the Slorvian Empire. They own the famous Altairian Shipyards which also happens to be their headquarters. Along with this they own other orbital construction yards that specialize in the production of space constructs, whether it be space ships themselves, modules for space stations, or the colonization modules for extreme conditions.

Altair Inc. started off as the first company to actually construct an orbital shipyard over the homeplanet. This instantly drew the attention of the government and granted them numerous contracts that funded their expansion deeper into the system. If you see a Slorvian ship, there's a 99% chance it was constructed by Altair.

Yasirean Inc.
Produces: Artificial Intelligence Constructs
Headquarters: Slorvian V
CEO: Yasaar
Background: Yasirean Inc. is a relatively new corporation that has found great success in recent years. They were originally part of a compute corporation, but split after deciding to specialize in artificial intelligence. Since then, thanks to government contracts, they have been expanding their company. With a new mandate coming into effect, every ship made for traveling outside of orbit will require some sort of AI construct onboard to navigate through the stars. Every orbital construct is required to have at least one AI managing the systems and every warship produced for the Slorvian government is required to have a minimum of two AI constructs. One manages the peaceful operations of the ship while the other specializes in combat situation management.

This mandate guarantees the survival of Yasirean Inc. for years to come.

Retrem Inc.
Produces: Robotics
Headquarters: Slorvian V
CEO: Tiik
Background: The Slorv pride themselves on their mechanical worforce, and have ever since they first created one. With the invention of computers and the eventual creation of AI constructs, robotics have become huge in Slorvian society. Retrem Inc. is undoubtedly the largest Slorvian corporation in existence. It has several massive production facilities located throughout the system, although its headquarters reside on Slorvian V. The major reason that Retrem Inc. has become so large is because they were able to secure the robotics market at an early point through clever business. Once they took off they never looked back.

The demand for robotics in Slorvian society is huge. Companies rely on them to carry out a majority of the tasks, ships and installations require them for maintenance, and the everyday Slorv requires them like humans require computers. Even the military has adopted these robots as their main fighting force. These government contracts have secured Retrem Inc.'s place in the economy for years to come. As the Slorvian Empire expands, the needs for protection grow greater. Retrem Inc. is there to supply those needs.

Alcoan Inc.
Produces: Refined Metals
Headquarters: Slorvian II
CEO: Undaa
Background: Alcoan Inc. is one of the oldest Slorvian corporations. It was originally founded on Slorvian IV, but has moved its headquarters to Slorvian II in recent years. This corporation is the leading producer of metals in the Slorvian Empire, and after securing large portions of Slorvian II for mining, it seems like it will stay that way. Demand for different alloys is high, as nearly every major corporation comes to Alcoan for some sort of metal. Retrem Inc. and Altair Inc. both rely heavily on the metal production of Alcoan Inc. As long as these two corporations stay alive, Alcoan is almost guaranteed survival as well.

@ Razon: Now you'll force me to start doing more for my creature. It's an informational arms-race I tells ya!

I quite like your style of classifying planets based on industry level and population, Josasa. I might have to use it for my own race once they get more than one colony! ;D

Go right ahead! I had a different system worked out in the old Slorv thread, but it was too complicated to bring over, especially since the Slorv only have one system under control. But I figured that industry and population would play a large part. I considered adding a 'business' section but went against it since that can shift quite rapidly.

Robotics

Class
Single Shot (SS)- This class specializes in accuracy, normally capable of delivering a powerful punch from a long distance.
Rapid Fire (RF)- This class specializes in delivering a large amount of firepower at close ranges. This is the more common class of robot, and are used more frequently to deal with a large number of contacts.
Heavy Explosive (HE)- This class specializes in providing explosives, either at close range or from far distances. These robots are less common on the battlefield, and are normally much more expensive to produce.
Close Range (CR)- This class focuses primarily on close range or contact combat. They normally carry powerful lasers capable of drilling through most substances or compounds, while at the same time carrying weapons that deliver short but powerful bursts of firepower.
Other (O)- This class covers a wide variety of robots, not dealing with combat, but still present in on the battlefield. They can be medics, equipped with precision lasers and welders, allowing for reassembly of decapitated robots. Another common class focuses on construction, primarily of fortifications or other structures necessary on the battlefield.

Weaponry
Plasma (PA)- Slorv plasma weaponry is powerful, and the most destructive of the Slorv arsenal, but it has the longest travel time of the three types.
Projectile (PE)- Slorv projectile weaponry is midrange in the pack, providing medium damage while traveling at a medium rate.
Laser (LS)- Slorv laser weaponry is the fastest traveling of the three, but it is also the weakest of the three.

Defenses
Armor- This is just an upgrade on the regular armor of the robot, allowing it to take more punishment.
Physical Shields- These are large plates that can be positioned (and moved by the robot) to absorb large amounts of damage. They are not able to cover every area at once, but can provide the extra protection necessary to get the job done.
Generated Shields- These absorb the most damage and allow the robot to be protected from everywhere. The drawback is that they require large amounts of energy and can only be used for a short time.

Size
Small (I)- These robots are roughly 1 meter tall, and are made to be highly mobile and fast. They focus more on either stealth or swarm tactics, seeing as the weapons are generally smaller and weaker.
Medium (II)- These robots are roughly 2-3 meters tall, and are the average fighters of the Slorv military. They are both mobile and powerful, able to carry weapons capable of taking out enemy strongholds.
Large (III)- These robots are anything larger than 4 meters. Generally these 'large' machines are between 4-6 meters, although there are several machines that have gotten as large as 10 meters. These machines are made to carry massive weapons capable of busting through the strongest enemy structures. They are not made to be super mobile however, and instead are created to 'burrow in' before firing its weapons.

All robots have a classification tag that gives the basic information on their setup. The order follows the setup Class-Weaponry-Size-4 Digit ID# while defenses are left out since they are more likely to change with each battle.

HE-PA-III-5335 would be a heavy explosive plasma wielding robot of large size. This would most likely denote a heavy artillery piece capable of launching bolts of plasma far distances to create havoc behind enemy lines.

CR-PE-I-8975 would be a small robot capable of fast movement. The close range projectile weapon would be very similar to a shotgun, allowing this bot to clear out enemy buildings quite efficiently.

I like the system. It's very orderly.

Thank you! And now for some information on the first experimental AI/Robotic military unit that I hope to involve in several different RP's.

Squad 151

Name: Raffa
ID Number: RF-PE-I-2442
Bio: Raffa is the covering fire and fire support of this experimental team, able to spit out a large quantity of bullets in a matter of seconds. He can cover a large area of attack and is the team's go-to-guy when it comes to midrange battles. Without his help, Squad 151 would be severely outgunned.

Name: Creaker
ID Number: CR-PE-I-3264
Bio: Creaker is the crazy one always looking for a fight. That probably works out for the best, seeing as this little guy needs to get up close and personal to be effective with his shotgun setup. Creaker has no fear and is willing to take on anything.

Name: Heavy
ID Number: HE-PA-II-4538
Bio: Heavy provides the big guns for Squad 151, packing a huge punch with his large plasma cannon. He is the largest of the 'attack' group and can normally be found lagging behind the rest of the smaller robots. Whether it was some sort of malfunction, or maybe it just goes with the class, but for some reason Heavy is somewhat slower than the rest of the crew when it comes to thinking things through his head.

Name: Slessa
ID Number: SS-LS-I-7931
Bio: Slessa is the quiet loner of the group. This fits his class perfectly, as he provides the long range laser backup that can accurately hit anything he wants to. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, his words are normally pessimistic and dull at best.

Name: Mom
ID Number: O-III-1111
Bio: Everyone loves Mom, the mobile repair station that provides energy and spare parts to Squad 151. In most cases, Mom stays back at the base to keep her safe from any stray bullets. But when Squad 151 is forced to go behind enemy lines, Mom becomes the base, providing everything necessary to this experimental group of robots.

I like the names, but for some reason they remind me of Transformers.
