Maybe we should get a mod to move all the recent OOC talk to here.

Enna Miq pondered over the request of Fånajusi for a few seconds, then answered. "Well, our goal would be to drive the invaders out of Graid territory and confine them within their own systems. If they retaliated or if we found them guilty of war crimes such as genocide, we would bring down our entire armada upon them."

Lets see...

Genocide? *check*
Questionable scientific experiments? *check*
Species wide slavery? *check check check*

I will be glad to start the OCC first so we may confirm who is participating in this war cause its going to be BLOODY

Oh, I'm sure that the GPA as well as many other civilizations in the galaxy would attack the Core Combine after hearing of their war crimes.

Luckily the Core Combine is well prepared for this war, of course there not going to outright win but their going to give the galaxy hell and even after the war they will probably still be a problem though definitely nothing like now.

Dude, it's the entire civilized galaxy against a small pocket of aliens. It will take six months, tops. Of course, the galactic forces will probably have heavy losses, maybe in the hundreds of thousands, but their superior technology and vastly larger armies will eventually crush the Core Combine, but in a very spectacular fashion. This is going to be a fun RP.

True as that might be they will still be a problem and yes it will be spectacular

Oh and UFO King if you don't mind I need a quick physics check, I always imagined a Core Combine rail gun on say... a battleship using something similar to Mass accelerators like in Mass Effect not exact but similar, it would basically allow Core Combine rail guns to be smaller thus more maneuverable and still fire with the same impact force than say one of the Perrachi's super large battleship rail guns. Is that somehow possible?http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_accelerator#Mass_Accelerators

This is probably the wrong topic for this but.... eh

[[EDIT]]- I would not consider the Core Combine some "small pocket of aliens" its safe to say they very active during the inactivity of the galaxy but again your right its the entire galaxy vs one force but the Communicants managed to do it http://www.gamingsteve.com/blab/index.php?topic=10414.0 (though they had a few allies as well, again I don't want to start a fight or argument) oh and the Ai'earthyr managed to give the galaxy a panic attack... though that was something a bit bigger than the Combine.

The Communicants had billions upon billions of ruthless soldiers who never surrendered, physically couldn't surrender, as well as incredibly advanced technology.

Ok ok I know when I'm beat

[[Edit]]- Wait a tic... the Combine actually has the large amount of ruthless soldiers incapable of surrender thing, though yea they lack the super tech.

"Large" in terms of a small empire is nothing compared to the Communicants. Take an entire galaxy's worth of soldiers, and then you've got an approximation of just how many soldiers the Communicants had. Waging an ambush Galactic War is quite the accomplishment.

Actually, a Perrachi railgun utilizes the same concept, as do all railguns. Considering that a Perrachi railgun would fire a nuclear bomb several times more powerful than any human-built one on a planet from far up in space, the impact would be so devastating that it would probably be visible from space.
