Well it has several turbine engines on the edges holding it high above the sea. It covers 6% of the planet and has more than 200 turbines attached to it. Half of the planet's power is devoted to the lifting of the city.

Hah. Hah. Yeah. Sure it does. You should just have it be floating on the molten iron. Not as if it would be hard.

6% is over 1/20 of the planet.  3 times the earth would be 1,530,216,000,000 meters.  200 turbines would mean one every 7,651,080,000 meters.  That's 7 BILLION.  I think your numbers are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off.

well, one of my species float, but thats cause they basicaly live in deep space...

for the race, its allways good to have another shapeless, emotionless species of pure water//liquid metal/energy/pistachios
and this one, unlike most of those, is actualy pretty cool.

I still can not get over crazen's inability to use capitals.

And yeah, go with my idea, it floats on the molten iron like an enormous ship, preferably with connections to the islands to keep itself from just moving, like an enormous artificial bridge, except people live on it.

Well if it moves then thats ok. A giant capitol ship on a sea of magma would be awesome. Since this boat is huge it would probably create its own energy. So the capitol is a floating city. It moves with the iron's current.

Damn, that sounds awesome.
They could be using negative matter (makes things fall up instead of down)
I don't think we should get too much into exotic matter.
