Documentary of the Lhouic System conflict.
« on: December 31, 2009, 06:57:46 pm »
NOTE: This is a story told as if it was a documentary, NOT an RP. Capice?

CHAPTER 1: Initial Misgivings
The Lhouic system. A quiet little barren solar system bristling with resources. It was undiscovered and untouched until a Shadow outpost was established on Lhouic Prime, the most unforgiving and inhospitibal of all the planets. The Shadow had no issues once so ever, due to their advanced technologies. The outpost was built for a specific purpose. A relic of ancient times was burried on one of the planets, but it was undetectable from space. The Shadow wanted it, as it was said to be a relic of the race who banished them long ago. The started scanning meter after meter of each planet, hoping to find one of the last of the relics that posed a significant threat to their aggressive genocide. Their activities did not go unnoticed, however. The Photos, constantly on the hunt for the genocidal empire, discovered the Shadow operation in Lhouic, and a task force was sent to the system post-haste, to put an end to whatever malicious plans the Shadow could have in store. They sent Commander Ki'uyt and his detachment to the system. They set up an extensive base on Lhouoc II. This planet was second from the star, but always on the opposite end of the system from Lhouic Prime. This would mean, between their opposite positions and the radiation from the star, the Photos were relativly safe from detection for the moment. There were three Posideon-class Dreadnoughts sent to the system as well. These three warships could handle small scouts of the Shadow, so long as they didn't send larger craft to scout around the system. To safeguard their program, the shadow built a massive shield generator that covered Lhouic Prime with a planetary shield, blocking orbital fire and other orbit-to-planet weaponry. The stage was set for horrid bloodshed.

Sucks to be the one sent for this job, trying to fend off a trans-universal conduit full of omnicidals and all.

Does this have something to do with the other story?

The former.

Still, will they connect at one point?

CHAPTER 2: The Hunt
Though the Shadow hunted nonstop for the relic, the amount of ground they had to cover was staggering. Scanning every inch of a planet from the ground is no easy task. This gave the Photos plenty of time to assess their situation. Finally, they decided that they would go with an old tactic first used in the war with the Zeront: lure the main brunt of the battle force away and then go after the primary target while it was relativly unprotected. This presented a major issue: They could not bring in more ships, as the energy signature from them arriving would most likely be noticed by the Shadow, now that they were more set in than when they first arrived. They settled that one would lead them away, while the other two Dreadnoughts would drop off a mass of units and tanks, which would assist them in destroying the outpost. This was the only forseeable action until they found a way to bring in more ships.
