The Pentekonterus: Tribalism on the Rise
« on: December 29, 2009, 03:55:25 pm »
Ok, so:
-After this, I'll make a new Pentekonterus thread, detailing their tribal life.
-Also note that this is part of my experiment in RP'ing each stage of development

Ok, so here's a brief summary:

Girruth and his band of 8 others (4 male, 4 female) have arrived within the ruins of one of the previous sapients' villages. Inside, they have found stockpiles of food, wood, and a strange type of rectangular stone. ((Mud-bricks LOL)) They have brought with them several things:
-8 sticks that could be refined into spears.
-The monolith (Remember it from the first RP?)
-About 7 pounds of meat
-A handful of Rawksus feathers. What could these be used for?

Now, interestingly enough, this band has discovered that their hunched posture hinders, but does not eliminate, tool-use. They compensate by using their tails to knock down trees for wood., and raising their hands above their heads to hold rocks and sticks. They can only rear up for so long, after all.

Clarification/EDIT: The actions you choose will not so much affect a stat ashelp to drive the story in several ways that it could reach the ending.

Who are you again and why in the world would you expect anything resembling rationality or civility in youtube comments?

And the story continues...

Girruth soon learned that his subordinates were feeling rather amorous of each other, and they wanted to see some new, tiny faces running around. Girruth thought for awhile, and then saw a standing structure within the ruins. There was enough room for one couple, so he had his subjects dig a large nest inside the building for the eggs. Once there, each pair united, and eventually, 100 eggs lay within the nest. Now, came the problems:
How would they keep the eggs safe? Where would they put the food they found? How would they feed all these new mouths once the eggs hatched? And how would they keep other predators, including other Pentekonterus, away from their meat? All would have to be answered before those eggs hatched.

Stats:
Days until eggs hatch: 170
Number of ggs: 100
Meat: 7 pounds, enough for 2 weeks.
Bricks: 1,574 (Should they try to build anything?)
Sticks: 8
Artifacts: 1(Monolith)

What do you suggest? Please post.

Build a warming hut to support the eggs
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.
